SATURDAY TESTIMONIES

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer's permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.  Psalm 145:13-14

“He is home! Praise the Lord, my precious husband is home. After several months of separation and an OW, God moved in my husband’s heart and mind. His eyes were opened to see the truth. I loved him unconditionally and cried out to our Lord. This journey was unbelievably hard but it changed me and my marriage for the better and right into God’s arms. Standers don't you dare give up. I wanted to many times and I would have missed out on this beautiful blessing and testimony.”  (Florida)


“Praise the Lord! I have been standing for several months with no contact at all from my husband. The last conversation we had, he told me leaving me was the best decision of his life. I have been praying and fasting and today was our court date. The case was dismissed and after leaving the court room I had a feeling to hang around. My husband walked over to me and asked to hold our son. Then he hugged me! We walked out of the courthouse together and before parting ways he gave me another hug and a kiss! I was completely shocked because I wasn't expecting God to have changed my husband so much without any communication. He even texted a little later and said once again he loved me. I am so thankful to God, and those of you praying for marriages to be restored. I know we have a long way to go but I know God is answering prayers and moving mountains!”  (North Carolina)


“After 12 years of separation my wife has told our children that she would pack her bags and leave the other person today but has nowhere to go. My wife knows that my door has always remained open for her. The kids are planning for all of us to spend Christmas together, the first time in 13 years.”  (United Kingdom)

“Because my husband still wanted to ‘take care of’ me and make sure I was okay, he drove me and our two cats across the country and now I'm in a hotel room looking for an apartment. It's not easy, but having time with my husband was really great for me. When we said goodbye he held me and told me loved me (as a friend) and that this wasn't ‘the end’ of anything. I know he believes we're just going to be friends, but I believe God is going to take this love we still feel and grow it into His kind of love and into a marriage that makes Him proud of both of us. Thank You God for loving us both!”  (Colorado)


“I am a prodigal turned stander. In the beginning I did not know I was standing. I had been reaching out to my prodigal almost every day and being rejected over and over. Finally, I get it, no fleshly attempts will win my spouse back. So, I stopped reaching out and I asked God for a sign that this was the right path I had taken and He gave me one. I praised God for answering me and most importantly I thank God for being faithful, for I know when my husband returns home (and he will), it will not be by my hand but it will be by the Mighty Hand of GOD. PTL for He is faithful. Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. Standing with God for my marriage restoration.”  (Michigan)


“Thanks so much, Charlyne, for sharing the message ‘Don't give up.’ It was timely for me. God has promised so many wonderful things for my marriage and I have been struggling with His timing of when and how things should happen. I was led to repent and truly let go and let God do His work in us. God has said it, and that settles it. They will come to pass according to His sovereign and perfect plan. When I feel weary, all I need to do is ask for his strength to wait – Isaiah 40:29-31. I will rest in God's promises – my harvest is on the way.”  (Uganda)

“My wife and I have been divorced now for over a year. I just recently came to this website. I've learned things I've never known before. I haven't had much contact with my wife in the last few weeks. I prayed today that I would hear from her, that she would understand the pain she caused and she'd ask forgiveness for the past. Sure enough, only a few hours later, God answered my prayer. I received a beautiful email from her. I believe God is beginning to work in her hardened heart and someday she will return home for good. I felt I had to encourage someone else today as I've been encouraged by others.”  (Alaska)


“I was crying out to God in my car yesterday, and being honest about how I felt. I boldly told God that I wasn't sure if I can feel Him anymore, that I may need to give up on my marriage restoration. As I was crying, a work truck pulled up. It said, ‘Restoration: Like it never even happened!’ God is so good!”  (Texas)


“Thank You Jesus! My husband returned after being away for months. The kids and I prayed, fasted and held on to God's Word. God showed me Habakkuk 1:5 two weeks before my prodigal came home. God brought him home on our anniversary. He is a much better husband and father because he loves God like never before. How awesome is our God. HE never fails. Keep believing and trusting God. Nothing is impossible for God. I will forever PRAISE GOD.”  (Texas)

“I praise the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever; for He has promised to never leave me nor forsake me; for his faithfulness; and for the one thing I am absolutely sure of, that I will spend eternity with Him. Because of His grace and mercy, a sister from RMM called me a few days ago to pray for my needs. She was God-sent because at the time I was seeking God for a decision I needed to make that would necessitate contacting my spouse. The Lord's mercies follow us all our days, because as I write this I have just finished reading a devotional by Lori, ‘We Won't Be Shaken.’ It is just the sort of encouragement I needed as I had just received a disappointing response from my spouse. I will not be shaken as the rejections from my spouse multiply, but will fix my eyes on Christ, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Standers, let's work with the eternal perspective and the Lord will sustain us. God bless you.”  (Canada)


“A Division of Property Order, affording my prodigal retirement benefits, was part of our divorce agreement. I met with a retirement system counselor today to find out how much to expect when I retire in a few years and how much my spouse is entitled to receive. The numbers were disheartening, but I asked the counselor for figures without the DOPO, saying that my spouse and I are working on reconciliation and I’m expecting our marriage to be intact when I retire. She told me she’s had two clients cancel their DOPOs recently and also shared a testimony of a couple from her church who were divorced and restored and are doing well! I know this was a divine appointment meant to renew my hope that God is going to fully restore our marriage!”  (Ohio)


“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”  Isaiah 46:10


“Last summer, I was watering a seemingly dead rose bush. It had died all the way back, with no sign of life. As I watered it anyway, I sensed God telling me that sometimes people are like that too. They look dead from the top, but down below, there is life. I understood that He meant spiritually. I thought about my prodigal husband, as God spoke to me. I understood that I should water the bush, and also that I should continue to communicate in love and speak of God to my husband. Later, God called me to stand for our dead marriage. Yesterday, I watered that bush as usual, and amongst the teeny tiny leaves that it's been developing, bloomed a beautiful white rose! The flower is also very tiny, so very much smaller than it should be, but so precious. This does not a rose bush make, but I enjoy the signs of growth. It's a reminder that God is always working in the unseen. PTL! He reassures and encourages in wonderful ways!”  (Washington)


“After a long, good, Christian marriage my husband. left me for another woman. The last six months we were together he made three false starts to stay with me. Then he would see the OW and it was like she hypnotized him. I knew I needed to stand firm and pray for him but I got the usual advice from friends that told me to release him and find someone better. I got on a search engine and looked up restored marriages and ‘stumbled’ onto Rejoice Marriage Ministries. PTL, I found my answer. I had instant peace and rest in the Lord. I remain trusting and standing firm. No more fear, doubt or unbelief. Thanks to all the present standers for the constant encouragement.”  (Minnesota)


“PTL! God is working to move my mountain and restore my marriage. Last month the divorce was final and my marriage was over by man's view. God has a different view. I almost gave up and have made a lot of mistakes in these last six months of standing. I prayed for a sign and my wife gave me a hug. Every time I get down God lifts me up. My wife has asked me to move back into our home to help with our children. She is still living by the world’s standards, but I know God is in control. Thank you for your prayers. “My husband left me some years ago. I found Rejoice Marriage Ministries in searching for some help. I have been praying since then. The glory is for my Jesus! I always pray for God to break each of my husband’s wrong relationships and every time God answers and does miracles. God is in control of my marriage restoration and I know it will happen in His perfect time. Thank You my Lord, only You can save my home.”  (Puerto Rico)


“Since my husband left, I have encountered many ‘coincidences’ – which, upon further consideration, have been recognized as ‘God moments’ because coincidence cannot fully explain the happenings. God has provided for my diverse and unusual needs in a variety of ways. Each need I have is fulfilled, and every time I am discouraged and ready to give up on a seemingly hopeless marital situation, a very clear message arrives to bolster my reserves. I am eternally uplifted by the testimonies of hope and restoration I read at RMM, and pray that one day my family will be re-united.”  (Canada)

“God is so faithful. My husband left our home many months ago and it has been a challenge with the child support situation. A couple of weeks ago, I was laid off from work. From the moment that I was laid off, I've trusted God and He has provide abundantly. He also softened my husband's heart that he gave the complete child support contribution for this month. Praise be to God for His favor and His faithfulness. I continue praying Ezekiel 36:26 toward my husband. I know that God will heal and restore our marriage. I am waiting for our miracle to happen.”  (Louisiana)


“I just wanted to say thank you for posting the sermon aboutDon't Give Up.’ I've learned a lot on my journey. This journey has landed me in the arms of my Jesus so deeply but lately I have grown weary and yes, after all this time, confirmations, I still wanted to know if this standing thing was really what God wanted or am I wasting my time. Why wait and want someone who clearly doesn't want me? Is that fair to him either? I don't want to interfere with his life. I'll leave him be Lord if that's what you want. Then today still crying out to God, I click the devotional and the sermon says it all. All I could say was ‘God I am so sorry. Help me to trust when things seem like they are getting worse.’ So today I thank you for your obedience. I am crying a lot, but I am still standing. God Bless You.”  (New York)

“Four days ago I met with my wife after almost two years without seeing her. I brought a gift, we drank coffee and left. Today we met again. I said I still love you, I'm still in love with you, I am waiting for you, no matter how long, I'm waiting on God. I give glory to God for what He is doing. Thank you for this ministry where I found the words I never heard from my friends, family, brothers or pastor. (Venezuela)


“Praise God my prodigal has just relocated to be near home. He says it is mainly to be near our child. This is a miracle because communication was scarce. With God nothing is impossible.”  (England)


“Praising God! I have been a stander for many months. Recently, my five children and I were blessed with a vacation to Tennessee where my husband and I were married many years ago. At first, it proved painful to be there without him, but as the day went on, I began to notice God showing me things, pointing out places to me, until finally we drove past the little log chapel where we took our sacred vows. It is no longer in use, HOWEVER, it is standing, a bit weathered, but firm and steady. God's message to me, ‘It has endured life's storms, and so will you and your beloved.’ Wow, God is so amazing. He has spoken and it WILL BE DONE. Amen.”  (Indiana)

“Praise God! Over a month ago early in the morning my husband called to tell me he was going that day to his attorney. I immediately called my prayer partner and prayed. Today I spoke to my attorney and she wanted to know if we were back together because she has heard nothing from me or his attorney. God is in control; our divorce has been pending for almost a year when it could be done in one month. My child shared two dreams with me last night and quoted the scripture that before it springs forth God will announce it. PTL, my child has the Word bound to his heart. My other child was saved in April and has been praying and fasting for her father. God is in control. He is faithful and will be healing our family and yours. We know He is placing us all in our rightful place and will bring my husband home in His time when all is fit for the priest of this home to return. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.”  (Florida)


“WOW!! God is amazing. I have been standing for my marriage for a few months. In the midst of it, I lost my little sister and went through surgery. But my God has been there for me all along. I'm still waiting for my miracle, but God has put in my heart to share with my fellow standers that He is restoring my marriage regardless of what I see. He says in Mark 11:24 (KJV) ‘Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you should have them.’ That means if we are praying for our prodigals to return home and turn to the Lord, in His time it will be done. Just trust Him. God bless this ministry and all of my fellow standers and families around the world.”  (Texas)


“God protects his creation, marriage. He is faithful and does keep His promises. The Lord gave me a promise of restoration long before I even knew what ‘standing’ meant. My husband swore it would never happen. Hours before he came home, he wanted to sit down and discuss the visitation schedule for our sons. I told him I refused what Satan wanted for our family and I wouldn't discuss it. Later that night the Lord answered my prayer, sooner than I thought. I had almost given up, but knew I had to hang on and trust HE was taking care of it all. Today, I sit here in awe of our marvelous, almighty, faithful God. He restored, reconciled, and renewed our love and marriage. A marriage that by man's views was long gone. Praise God, I am forever in awe of His love and faithfulness!”  (Florida)
