"Yesterday I received Your Father Knows Best and The Prodigal's Perspective and read both in a day. What encouragement I received. I've already started reading them a second time. I was able to witness to my spouse this morning about circumstances because things are just not going right for him since he left. I am determined to stand more and more every day on my God's promises and I am so blessed to be used by Him. There was a visitor in church Sunday morning who is going through a divorce (she was crying and very upset) and God laid this person on my heart so strongly that I have been praying for her ever since. I am waiting for Him to give me the right time so she will know that she doesn't have to just accept the enemy's lies about her marriage. Praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness!" (Louisiana)

"My prodigal returned the children to me for their Christmas vacation. He stayed and spoke to us with his positive memories of Christmas love. He instructed the children to enjoy my Christmas spirit of love. I was elated with the first praise I have received in a very long time. Praise our Lord and Savior for his grace, mercy and love." (Ohio)

"This past weekend my husband asked me to get a tool from his toolbox. I have wondered what he kept in there because he is rather protective of this box. As I was looking for the tool, I realized they are precious pictures of us in there. I don't even remember them, but I am amazed and thankful to God that my husband still has them." (Minnesota)

"Just when I felt like quitting, my husband called just to say hello. This really lifted my spirit. My mother-in-law called and offered to pay for my daughter's school uniform and books. Praise the Lord. Praise His wonderful name again." (Jamaica)

“I am here in Iraq as a stander. My husband is doing great back home taking care of things. He emails me regularly with loving reminders. Thank you Lord. But, the best Christmas present I have received is I just found out my oldest son gave his life to the Lord. Praise God and there will be a song in my heart for a long time to come.” (Iraq)

"I have been receiving email and letters from my husband who is serving in the US Army in Iraq. In all his letters he has asked me to tell his family and our children that he loves and misses them very much. He has never once mentioned that he loves me or even cares for me, and when he ends his letters he just signs his name. Yesterday I received another letter from my husband and this time he signed off, 'Your husband.' I Thank God for those two words for they mean so much to me. It just shows me that God is working. To God be the glory!" (New York)

“I want to thank Jesus and everyone who prayed for me about a tumor that was found in my breast. Doctors were not making this look good at all. I had a biopsy and got a great report. It is benign.” (Indiana)

"I have kept my wedding band on, but I did take off my engagement band. Unfortunately, my home was burglarized and all my jewelry was stolen-including my engagement ring. On the happy side, I still have my wedding band. Fellow standers, let me encourage you to take a stand and wear your rings, for you never know what may happen when they are off your finger." (Texas)

"This Father's Day our children were able to spend some time with their Dad for the first time in years. It was a huge answer to a lot of prayers. Thank You Father." (Virginia)

"I praise the Lord, because He has encouraged me today. I was cleaning my summer vacation email, and found some 'Charlyne Cares' I had not read. When I opened it, the message was right timing. I am so thankful that God sees me on a day to day basis, and gives exactly what I need every day to walk this hard and unknown road. I thank You and I love You Jesus." (Norway)

"Praise be to God for bringing my husband home. I thank God for allowing me to show my husband unconditional love. I can see the Lord at work in my husband. I can, for the first time ever, go straight to my Heavenly Father for guidance in my marriage. We still have a long way to go, but praise and glory goes to God that we will be able to take this road together." (California)

My husband told me he will marry me, but just needs some more time. He and I have also been praying together with our daughter in the morning over the phone. Those prayers may be short, but they mean so much to me. One day he prayed for our union. It takes a stander to appreciate such a prayer. Thank You God." (Virginia)

"But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." Psalm 5:11-12

"Several months ago I began to share the daily devotionals with one of my best friends who had been standing before me. I would print out the devotionals and give them to her, as she doesn't use a computer. My friend and her son hadn't seen her husband, who was residing out of state, and rarely spoke on the phone. The encouragement and guidance she received from your ministry changed her perspective, her prayers, and lifted her spirit. Thursday her husband showed up with everything he owned, totally unannounced...flowers in hand declaring his desire to return to her and his family. The wonder and glory of this miracle has caused a wonderful ripple among us all and praises are up and bountiful. They are planning to remarry A.S.A.P.. (Virginia)

"My husband is taking me out for a Valentine's day dinner. A few weeks ago he still wanted me to move out. Praise God." (Florida)

"At a prayer group, while in pairs praying for each other, we were asking the Lord for a word of encouragement to give each other. My prayer partner said 'God wants so much to bless you and he wants you to stay where you are.' I had been thinking about leaving my husband. I'm still here and I know it's only by God’s grace that we are working things out." (New Zealand)

"The Lord has been my Jehovah Jireh. Last night I had no gas in my car, no money to give my children for school lunch the next day, and actually no money for anything period. The Lord provided me with money through a kind person at church." (Michigan)

"At times when I feel like I cannot bear it anymore and want to give up, the Lord uses the daily devotions to address my trials by reminding me of His promises. Although my husband has only attempted to contact me twice, I thank the Lord for small miracles. He is teaching me as I await the return of my prodigal." (New Mexico)

"I just want to testify that prayer works. God is moving in my prodigal's life. Last Friday we talked. I apologized for my part in the marriage problems. We forgave each other. He has had many health problems and I told him that I prayed for him every day. He got teary eyed and thanked me. I got his Bible and handed it to him. He did not get angry, did not reject it or me. I have been praising God for I know in time I will get my miracle." (Maryland)

"My prodigal told me that he wants to work on our marriage. Many times I have doubted that anything was happening on his side. Last night my husband told me that he has been wanting to come home for months. Thank You, Lord God for keeping me faithful to You and to my prodigal." (Colorado)

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing." Psalm 34:8-9

"My prodigal spouse left me and our children. I have allowed him back into our home when visiting with the children and try to keep him involved with all that is going on with the children. For almost a year he has not said one kind word or expressed any kind gesture toward me, Yesterday I came home to a cooked meal. My prodigal had set a plate for me. He has filed for divorce but I haven't lost hope. Praise God I know He is working." (New Jersey)

"Last night I took my husband out for his birthday. He text messaged me on his drive home and thanked me, said he enjoyed our conversation and that we would do it again sometime." (Kentucky)

"You yourselves have seen everything the LORD your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the LORD your God who fought for you." Joshua 23:3

“Last night I felt so discouraged I wanted to give up on my stand. I asked God to give me a sign. I live in Africa and had read praise reports how standers had seen Covenant Transport trucks. I had never before seen one in my country. Today on my way to work, I saw two green Covenant Transport trucks parked on the side of the road. I was shocked and grateful that the Lord has finally given me a sign. I will continue to stand no matter what the circumstances look like.” (Zimbabwe)

"I have asked God to help me with forgiveness of the other person. One week ago, while praying, He asked me to give this person my personal Bible! I said. "MY Bible? Lord, how about another Bible? (Mine has rhema underlined with my spouse's name and prayer of the last two years of standing). A week went by. He reminded me again, during prayer time. I promised again. I held it before my prayer partner, to see if it was me. We prayed. We had peace. I took my precious Bible to (other person). She said she could not accept it. I told her how I had wept bitterly at first, but wanted to obey my Father. Dr. Charles Stanley said they will gossip about you anyway, so give them something good to gossip about!" (Colorado)

“My husband has been back home for nine months and I have learned so much in this time. I could have never done this without the help of God and the daily support from Charlyne and Bob. I would like to share a couple of lessons I have learned: ZTL- Zip in the Lip (do not try to change your husband); TTG - Talk to God (not to husband) and TGF - Thank God for everything. He is in control.” (Switzerland)

"My prodigal is currently stationed outside the country. He asked me to send him some scriptures. I sent him passages from Job, his favorite book in the Bible. One of the things that I've prayed to God for is that when my husband comes home we would be able to study and read the Word of God together. He's already answered that prayer even though my husband is in another country. Praise God." (Maryland)

"I have a long auto trip to and from work so that is my prayer time. This particular night, a purple truck with purple window tint passed me on the highway. There was writing on the side of it. I hurried to catch up to the truck, and lettered on the side of the truck was 'Divine Restoration.' I later found out that the day I saw that truck was also the day my prodigal filed for divorce. Whose report do you believe? I believe in the report of the Lord. I stand in awe of Him." (Georgia)

I praise God my spouse came and spent Christmas Eve and most of Christmas Day with my daughter and I. She even attended Christmas Eve service with us. I know that God is working. I thank God for even the seemingly small steps, I will keep praying and standing and trusting God, thanking Him for His faithfulness. I will also keep loving my wife and stay ready for her to return in God’s perfect time." (Pennsylvania)

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the LORD forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12-14

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

"God had been telling me that my husband was going to call me, but I was to say nothing and to let my husband do the talking. I have had no contact from my husband, so I was excited, but nervous at the thought. Days after our wedding anniversary, my husband left a call on my phone. I have been writing daily in my journal, by faith, that God is working mightily behind the scenes. Praise the Lord for His mercy and goodness." (Indiana)

"God worked on me over the holidays to make me call my husband. We talked for over an hour. We had another long phone call this week. I believe I am starting to see rays of sunrise, just when I was feeling the pressure from others to give up hope." (Michigan)

"I give thanks to the Lord. My husband's attitude toward our marriage changed. He returned home a month ago and we have been very happy enjoying every minute of it. He is doing his best to make everything right again. I know I must continue looking to the Lord for help. The battle is not our, but the Lord's. God answers prayer." (Florida)

I praise God that my temporary. position has turned into a permanent one with increased pay. (Pennsylvania)

"Honoring my stand, our son changed the officiating minister for his wedding, from his Dad (prodigal husband and minister) to his own minister, a living witness to what he preaches and teaches. I phoned husband and asked if we could sit together in the service. Thank God, we did sit together. Before the service, I asked husband if he would walk me down the aisle, and he said yes. For photos, I asked if he would stand with me, and I have two lovely photos of just the two of us. Our God is good." (Australia)

“Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds-his name is the LORD-and rejoice before him. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.” Psalm 68:4-6

"My son opened up to his dad for the first time regarding our divorce. My young son, not prompted by me, shared our stand as a family regarding his return to the Lord, then to us, with his dad. My husband called me and I was able to share with him. Praise God, my husband’s 'never to be together' is now 'most likely.'" (Arizona)

"I moved out in anger, only looking at the physical when I should have looked to the spiritual and gotten on my knees. I praise and thank God for his understanding and forgiveness, I am praying my prodigal will return to a relationship with Christ and ask me to return home." (Jamaica)

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

"Sunday I was invited by my wife to spend the whole day with her and our girls. God orchestrated the whole day where it felt like we have never been apart. Now she has asked me out to dinner and a baseball game. The Lord is working. God is faithful and true to His Word. I am off to Kuwait and I see such things ahead for our family." (Arkansas)

"On Easter Sunday as the kids and I were on our way to church, I saw my husband and the other woman. I drove beside him and my son spoke to his father. Afterward, my stomach began to ache, but I thanked God for allowing me to see my husband. To God be the Glory." (Texas)

"When Peter saw this, he said to them: "Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?" Acts 3:12

"I got sick and called my husband at 2:00 AM to take me to the hospital. He has been making sure that I am OK. He called on Mother's Day to wish me a good day. He took my son and I on a one day trip so I could relax. God is good." (Florida)

"This past Sunday I asked God to tell spouses to go home. At the end of the service my pastor said he felt the need to pray for marriages in our church and told anyone who had left home to go back to their spouse and children. I about jumped out of the pew. God answered my prayer down to the last word. Praise the Lord." (Ohio)

"Praise His holy name, my husband has come home. After months of separation, a request for divorce and days and nights of anguish and desperation, my husband unexpectedly asked to come back into our lives on Palm Sunday. Like many others, I could not have made it without your ministry. The battle for my husband's soul still rages, but God's promises are true." (Florida)
