"I asked the Lord to give me the words to say as I speak before our Thanksgiving blessing. I am a prodigal turned stander and praise God that my time in the wilderness is to humble and test me. In my hunger He provides me with manna which I did not know. My wilderness experience has drawn me closer to my loving God and Savior." (Tennessee)

"I have been receiving Charlyne Cares devotionals for several years. They never cease to amaze me in speaking the Word of God to my heart. No matter how many times you speak on a subject, it fits right where I am and ministers to my heart." (Maryland)

"On Christmas Eve with my in-laws I became focused on circumstances, but realized things are not what they seem. I know the Lord was telling me I was blessed every time my husband came by me. When he took me shopping to get my gift, the store was the same store where I planned to get his gift. The Holy Spirit kept reminding me about Jehoshaphat and praising God in the midst of circumstance. God is always in control." (Minnesota)

"I filed for divorce months ago, but then God changed my heart and encouraged me to stand for my marriage. This past week was my divorce hearing. I was nervous because my husband had a lawyer and I could not afford one. I dropped my petition for divorce and told the court of my stand. My husband was still granted a limited divorce, while I was given full custody of the kids and child support. Although this wasn't exactly what I wanted, I am so happy that God was my lawyer and he is working things out for my good. I know it is just a matter of time before my husband is home." (Maryland)

"After asking God for another sign that my stand is His will, my prodigal called and asked if he could visit. We haven't seen each other for a long while. When he left I told him I loved him and that he was welcome home any time. Thank the Lord I had been following Charlyne's advice to keep the house in order for just such a sudden visit. Thank You, Lord for showing me You are moving my mountain, and for the ‘testing the waters’ visit from my prodigal." (Florida)

"Today is my birthday. My divorce was official last Friday. I have providentially seen my wife three times, including last Friday, which was definitely God's doing when I have not seen her in months. Today she called me to wish me a "Happy Birthday." God is more than faithful." (New Jersey)

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:22-24

"I am so grateful for the Lord’s provision. He has been the best husband for me during this season of my life. He has provided for me supernaturally in many ways. I have some good prayer partners. I have a job I love in a Christian atmosphere, my children are prospering, and I have a healthy, beautiful granddaughter. I am truly blessed." (Nebraska)

"My husband has suffered severe business losses as well as a long affair. I thought I could not take it anymore. After discussing divorce last week, he now says he would like to try and work things out. We know there is always hope in the Lord. Thank you, Charlyne and Bob for keeping me going through the darkness. The Lord is working." (Illinois)

"My husband left our marriage and later divorced. In that time, he held on to many things, clothes and furniture that belonged to us. I stand for his return to us and at times struggle with patience. God has moved my husband’s heart that he decided that he no longer needs or wants things locked in a storage unit. Much of it no longer fits our growing boys or we no longer had a need for it. The biggest blessing here is not only the change of heart, but also that we were able to send many things to a family in Port Charlotte (Florida) who had lost their entire home in Hurricane Frances." (North Carolina)

"My husband has been gone for six years. I woke up around midnight with my young son sleeping next to me. I heard someone outside and thought it was my teenage son. I opened the door to find my husband standing there, after he told me he wasn't coming back home six months earlier. He stayed for three days. He left with the intention of coming back, but the Lord let me know the first day that he wouldn't stay--this time. God gave me the scripture, 'He will make a way where this is no way'. He encouraged me to go on. (Kansas)

"My husband surprised me by coming home for Mother's Day. He even suggested we go to church together. We had a very nice dinner with our kids. He wants to fix up the house. I asked God for help with the maintenance and repairs the day before. God is good." (Florida)

"I was waiting at a traffic light and there was a big truck behind me. The driver got out and was coming towards me. I thought something was wrong, but he asked me if I was a Christian. Then he referred to the ‘God Heals Hurting Marriages sticker’ on my back windscreen. He had friends who were in a dire marriage situation and asked if I was I a counselor. I said to remember "rejoiceministries.org" and then the light changed. I was so thrilled and I gave thanks to God that the driver had seen the sticker. Our Lord works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform." (United Kingdom)

"After my husband moved out. God led me to your web site and I began standing for our marriage. He has moved back, but God still has work to do. Last week God told me that He is preparing my husband for something big and that my job is to pray for him. He confirmed this through a friend telling me that I'm a prayer warrior. In your Monday 'Charlyne Cares' was the term prayer warrior again. When I saw it, I knew without a doubt that God is going to do something big. Praise Him as He is a faithful and wonderful Father." (South Africa)

"I have been struggling financially for a few months and have gotten rid of a lot of extras so my children and I could afford to live in our home. I bought a cheaper phone service, only to discover it wouldn’t work. I had forgotten the phone jack I needed to use had been broken for several years. I sat on the floor and cried and said "God, is it time to move? What do You want me to do?" I took the jack apart in desperation and inserted the phone line and got a dial tone. I sat in total awe of the greatness of the Lord. He really does provide for all of our needs and He also made it clear to me I should not move, at least for now. Thank you, Father, for listening to my prayers." (Pennsylvania)

"This past Monday was our court date. I kept praying and believing, and by the weekend I was placing my trust and hope in the Lord. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace as our court date approached. Praise the Lord, the hearing was postponed because my husband could not find a witness to prove his case. He told the judge, ‘(My wife) is still involved with my family and our mutual friends, so I've had a hard time getting someone to agree to being a witness.' (Maryland)

"I've been offered and have accepted a full-time job with insurance and retirement benefits. God has blessed me." (Georgia)

"God just won’t let me quit. While I was discouraged because of not getting any sign, I was praying a novena for my husband. The whole week I was getting encouragement from Isaiah. The day I finished praying and fasting, I heard my husband in a dream. It was very real. I had similar dreams two more times the same day. This is a sign from God. The following day I received good news, showing that my husband is softening a bit." (Colorado)

"I was feeling gloomy today when I read Charlyne's message that God gave her a promise. The Scripture she quoted is the same one I got. I never experienced 'rhema,' never had a scripture shout to me before until two years ago when Isaiah 54 seemed to come to life and leap off the page, almost ringing in my spiritual ears. I was amazed! Just as I was down and feeling left out of joy, Charlyne goes and says that she got Isaiah 54 as well, while she was going through her own marital storm. I am so glad that God gets so personal with us. All praise be to His Holy Name." (Maryland)

"Praise the Lord, my husband has come home. He is here and he is trying. I am seeing glimpses of the man I married. We are getting along better than we have in years and I know God has made this possible." (Oklahoma)

"My wife left and filed for divorce. The first month I was running everywhere. I cried out to God. The day after I received the court date, my wife told me that she did not want to divorce." (France)

"My husband is still very determined to get a divorce. I pray that the papers will be dismissed and cancelled forever. My husband is now on his third lawyer. They keep quitting. The papers keep getting delayed. Praise God." (California)

"I had been crying out to God. I went to church and went to the altar. The pastor prayed over me. He said that sermon was specifically for me and to pray and not give up. Thanks to God for speaking to me." (Alabama)

"I was feeling really low facing Easter on my own with the kids. On Thursday evening, soon after finishing off work, my prodigal returned all his belongings to our home. I know the Lord has spoken. On the same day the Lord provided the funds we desperately needed to pay my mother’s hospital bills. My mother who has not been able to breath on her own for the past three weeks, is now breathing without effort." (South Africa)

Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him"...Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man...For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." Genesis 2:18,22,25

"This past weekend my husband brought over presents for our daughters and stayed for about an hour. He shared some of his plans with me what has happened during the last month. I praise God for this He is working on my husband's heart." (Kentucky)

"The other woman is not going to be with my husband and his family this holiday. I don't know the reason but I'm praising God. My children had decided to stay with me for the holiday. When I heard the other woman was not going to be there, I offered my daughters the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with their dad, grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. They took me up on my offer. It was so thrilling for me to be able to give my children and my husband this gift of unconditional love. My heart is full for His goodness." (California)

"I had to see my attorney to get some advice. My attorney told me that divorce is just a matter of time. I responded that I believe in a God who can do anything. He told me that I should realize that I am a young man with a lot to offer and a plenty of opportunities for relationships ahead of me. I responded that I made promises to my wife and a covenant before God that is forever, and that I will love my wife unconditionally no matter what happens. The court may end our marriage contract, but that will not change my stand for a restored marriage. He was taken aback and said he was impressed by my faith and convictions. He gave me some excellent legal advice that I needed, but the Lord gave me the opportunity to witness to my attorney, which maybe he needed." (Indiana)

"God has done an amazing work over the past year. I received an email from my spouse, who was deployed to Iraq, telling me he wanted a divorce. I was served with divorce papers. But God suddenly changed my husband’s heart. Without warning he decided to dismiss the divorce. We moved to a new state, he began a new job, and I am pregnant with our second child. God is faithful to keep his promises." (Georgia)

“Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:2-4

"I have been standing for the restoration of my marriage, and have been fasting and praying for God to bring my spouse to his senses. I asked God for a sign that He was working in my spouse's life, when suddely it came to me through a song that I had been hearing all along. It was like God opened my ears to hear His work. The chorus of the song is, 'I'm going home to the place where I belong, to the place where I was meant to be.' Now every time I hear this song, I just smile, because I know that everything will work out." (Tennessee)

"As standers, we tend to overlook the small praises and not share them. I am guilty of that. This weekend, I realized that it's because I am looking at what God hasn't done for me (bring my prodigal home) instead of what He is doing daily. My youngest son called me a hypocrite because I was so overwhelmed with things such as cleaning, cooking, and walking the dog, but most of all finances. My son said, 'You say trust God, but here you are, a mess and worried.' I had to go upstairs and ask God for forgiveness because my son was right. I want to give God all the glory and praise because He delivered that same son from rebellion, the streets, and drugs. I also want to praise God for holding me up these past four years. I want to praise God for meeting my financial needs, even when I have been unfaithful to Him by doubting. I want to praise God for the incredible people he has brought into my life. I want to praise God for all the people who have helped me and continue to help me." (Florida)

"Praise God for His ability to open doors. My prodigal called and we spoke for over two hours. The door to communication has opened slightly. Thanks be to the Lord." (Colorado)

“Being on vacation and not able to go anywhere left me at home alone a lot. Charlyne mentioned wearing her wedding rings while divorced. Mine were broken, but God had been dealing with me to get them fixed. I turned them in yesterday for repair after reading what Charlyne said. I had been struggling with what to say to people once I put them back on, especially to my children. I was reminded of something else I have learned from Charlyne; “Don't listen to what others say,” and that is what I am going to do. I am going to stand.” (Texas)

"The other man made his first appearance at an event. I felt moved by the Holy Spirit to speak to him and not ignore him. When my wife left for a few minutes, I was able to calmly tell him about my stand for my marriage, that I forgive him and I pray for him everyday. I thank God for the strength and freedom to get rid of my bitterness and anger toward this man." (State Removed)

"I give God glory. I had not heard from my husband in months. God has change his heart and now my husband and I have been communicating with each other." (Ohio)

"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36

"I was ready to give up on my prodigal when suddenly he showed up and for the first time in a decade told me that he wants to work hard to make our marriage work. He thanked me for being such a ‘crazy’ woman and never giving up on him." (Switzerland)

"God has blessed me in amazing ways in the weeks my husband has been home. A few days ago my husband went to meet with the other woman to discuss their relationship and possible reconciliation between them. I called on my sisters in Christ that have been standing with me and we covered that meeting in prayer. Our prayer was that God would show up to that meeting. He did and the other woman asked my husband for space. I am trusting God." (Florida)

"From a prodigal turned stander, God has blessed me through this difficult time of pending divorce. The divorce becomes final tomorrow, but God has no watch or calendar. I thank God for Rejoice Ministries, Bob, Charlyne and all of the standers. As the song goes, 'Lord send a revival and let it begin in me.'" (Tennessee)

"My wife had been gone for four months and things were going from bad to worse. One night she phoned and said that even though she didn't want to come home, God was telling her to do it and that she had to obey Him! Now home for one month and we have been spending time together, including devotions and prayer. She told me that she sees how much change God has brought in my life and that she is falling in love with me again! I cannot express how thankful I am to God for restoring our relationship and for the grace and love that he has demonstrated to me, a sinner. He is faithful to all of His promises. Praise the Lord." (Canada)

"My prodigal phoned me to let me know that he was struggling financially. He was asking me for help! I felt led by the Holy Spirit to remind him that he could come home. God has told me to sit back and watch His mighty hand at work. It's really awesome to see the Lord moving, even if it seems little." (Canada)

"I prayed and fasted for my husband to come home. There has been no communication for years. All I had to lean on was God's promise to me that He would restore my marriage. This week my husband contacted me out of the blue. I had specifically asked God to let me hear from my husband. Even though my husband thinks divorce, God has softened his heart to talk to me and stay in touch. I know that my marriage restoration must be on the way. Praise God." (South Carolina)

"I blamed my prodigal for everything, then God showed me how my heart had turned to stone. God took my hard heart, made it soft, and filled it with love for my spouse. My prodigal came home shortly after, but our struggle was not over. God has been talking to me, pruning me, and testing me for weeks. Last night He reminded me of things I had done early in our marriage that were sinful and had not been repented. Bob and Charlyne often tell us that sometimes our prayers are not answered because we are not ready. God is getting me closer to that every day." (Oklahoma)

“After listening to Charlyne talk about asking God what he wants us to do, I was up in the middle of the night praying and asked God what He wanted me to do. He said tie a yellow ribbon on your tree in the yard. I question Him and He said, “yes” and the words to 'Tie A Yellow Ribbon Around The Old Oak Tree' came to mind. The next day I was at a gathering and asked a few people if they knew the words, several people began singing the song. That evening I was watching a Billy Graham crusade from 1992 on television. He was speaking about the prodigal son and at the end he told the story about a man who asked his wife if he could come home after being released from prison, and that she could respond by tying a yellow ribbon to the tree in their yard. I was bawling. The next day I tied four large ribbons to the tree in my yard, where my spouse drives by every day. Praise the Lord.” (Colorado)

“On the way to church on icy roads today, I fish-tailed our SUV, ended in the grass and pulled right on out of the ditch. While this was going on, I called upon the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. I told my prodigal spouse about this at lunch.” (Wisconsin)

"Our Lord has so many ways of keeping our hope alive for our miracles. This week a local Christian radio station had a contest for people to give their testimony on how a Christian song has touched their life. I wrote my testimony on how 'That's What Love Is' (by David Phelps) has helped encourage my family while we wait for our miracle of marriage restoration. This morning they read my testimony on the air. This message was shared to others that divorce is not their only option. God can heal our marriages. I am grateful to our Lord for directing me to your web site and 'Charlyne Cares.' I feel so much closer to our Lord and can see so many changes in our family. I praise God for this wonderful time in the valley." (Arkansas)

“Praise God, my husband came home suddenly. When it looked impossible, God moved. We are taking it one day at a time and I am fully trusting the Lord to save my husband and for our remarriage. God is good all the time.” (West Virginia)
