June 2 was going to be our final court date and everything would be over. I prayed before I left for the courtroom and said to my Father that I knew he knew my prayer and I was still standing on His words that He hates divorce. Everything was going as predicted and coming to a close when the judge ordered a continuance until August. My God is a God of answered prayers and of miracles. (Texas)
“Praise the Lord for Rejoice Norfolk. I am so thankful the Lord enabled me to attend. I had dinner with my separated wife Monday and she asked me all about it so I was able to tell her. I focused on the teaching of first getting myself right with Jesus based on all He is revealing to me about my sinful attitudes, selfishness, ego, that had so wounded her heart. I told her I was praying that Jesus would heal her wounded heart and draw her close to Him. And I was praying for the resurrection of our love and marriage. She opened up and expressed her anger at me for the first time. Praise God. And in Jesus' love I could agree with all of her issues that have caused her so much hurt and pain. I agreed to continue seeking God's changes in me to love her selflessly, unconditionally, and sacrificially. She now wants to meet for dinner every Monday and wants me to call her every day. Praise the Lord for His goodness, love, and grace! We have much to work on, and Jesus is working in and through us too.” (Virginia)
"My daughter left home to drop out of school and live with her boyfriend. My husband was supportive of me through this. I have kept him informed and followed his direction in how to handle everything. God has repeatedly told me to have unconditional love for my husband and daughter. Although I cannot support my daughter's decisions, I have been able to pray for her and keep the door open for her to return home just like God taught me to do for her father. I believe my Lord will be faithful to bring my daughter and husband home to Him and us in His perfect time." (California)
"A pastor opened my spiritual eyes. I understand in a new way that when I gave my life to Jesus, He made me a new creation and that means He put a Heavenly Seed in my inmost being, in my spirit. Now the flesh is also alive and it is the one that gets the mess going on in my head if I listen to it. It is the old flesh in me which is unable to live a holy life, to believe in God's promises. It is the devil who wants me to give up standing and praying. I`m gonna let the Spirit, the New Creation, reign in me. So when the negative hopeless thoughts come up, I have started to tell them I have recognized the origin they come from and that I'm not going to listen any more, I'm nailing them to the cross in Jesus' name. That has helped me a lot. I'm still learning, but distinguishing this is really something. The real me, the new creation, does want only what God tells in the Bible." (Finland)
"Praise God I had a geat report. My doctor told me the CAT scan revealed I was free of cancer." (Ohio)
"My wife and I separated and she filed for divorce. I acted the way God wanted me to, (most of the time), stayed married in my heart, and looked at my part because Charlyne, and Bob wrote what the Word of God said, that God wanted to heal my marriage. For the last few weeks, my wife and I have gone out to eat a number of times. She says she is starting to like me. A month ago she was dead set on divorce, and now, God is slowly changing both of our hearts. I know it will take time, and God is giving the children and I the strength to stand." (Kentucky)
"I have had a good couple of weeks with my wife. The ice was definitely melting. This is a long way from a couple of weeks ago when she was adamant about getting a divorce." (Texas)

"My husband left me a voice mail and ended his message with 'I love you.' I can't seem to erase that message. I just received a long letter from my mother-in-law who thanked me for sending her a birthday card and wrote how glad she is that I am keeping in touch with her son." (North Carolina)
"My fast ended on our anniversary. My prodigal came over and I gave him a card. We went to lunch and had a nice time. This is the first outing we have had since he left months ago. I continue to stand on the promises of God. Praise the Lord." (Texas)
"Over the past couple of months my sister and brother-in-law said that there has been a change in (husband). He has asked a few questions in regard to God." (Australia)
"I received an early birthday present from my husband. He hadn't been talking to me since the day after Christmas. Yesterday he bought me a cake and a flat screen television and gave them to me in front of our sons. I am grateful that the Lord touched my husband's heart to present the gift from God." (Arizona)
"My prodigal husband is home now, after a year of separation and divorce proceedings that God put on hold. Praise God for raising up this ministry that confirmed to me what I already felt in my spirit, although unpopular with most. I am thankful to my Lord for working a miracle for us. I will continue to listen to help me be the wife my husband needs and block by block, prayer by prayer rebuild our marriage on the solid rock of Jesus Christ." (California)
"I am praising God that after many months I am receiving positive communication from my husband. He has invited me to lunch several times. My estranged children have been slowly melting. The divorce proceedings have been put on indefinite hold only by God's mighty power. I am trusting God for complete deliverance and restoration for my entire family." (California)
"I made up my mind it was best to divorce my husband. Tuesday night I went by a close friend’s house. I don't know what made me want to go there at 11:30 P.M. but she was up and ready to talk to me. She told me to hold on and not to divorce, as my husband would be home. To my surprise, her husband had come home two days before. Praise the Lord." (Ohio)
"I was about to give up on my spouse ever coming back to me, but God, through you, has given me hope and a future. I have really picked up my prayer life for my husband and it has been amazing to see some specific things answered. He is feeling more and more convicted and is sharing that with me. My fervent prayer is that he will turn his desire back to the Lord and to me." (Tennessee)
"I thank God that I can let go and let God. I thank God that I can love (my husband) unconditionally, be pleasant, and pray for him. Finally, I can get out of God's way." (New York)
"I was introduced to your ministry by a lady who was in the same shoes I am in. She and her husband have reunited and are attending church together. There seems to be hope for us. God has blessed me with this friend who has encouraged me by her words and actions on standing for her marriage. On this Thanksgiving week, I am very thankful for you all." (Tennessee)

"My husband and I were deceived by the enemy when we separated and then divorced. It was very clear to me that the Lord was nudging me to put my wedding ring back on my finger and stand for my husband's salvation and the healing and restoration of our marriage and family." (Colorado)
"Sunday was our wedding anniversary. Today we received papers from my wife's attorney telling us that our divorce has been dismissed. The letter said, 'You and your husband remain married, and it is basically as though you had never filed for divorce.'" (State Removed)
"At that time I will deal with all who oppressed you; I will rescue the lame and gather those who have been scattered. I will give them praise and honor in every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes," says the Lord." Zephaniah 3:19-20
"My husband and the non-covenant divorced." (Iowa)
"My husband called me on Christmas morning and we spent most of the day together. I had not seen him in months. I had stopped praying for him, but God had other plans. My husband and I talked, cried, and laughed. I love my husband more than I ever have in my life." (North Carolina)
"I filed for divorce and then the Lord revealed to me that I cannot divorce my husband. God has done a work in me, but my husband is now divorcing me. I lost my job and the bank is foreclosing on our house. In spite of all, God is wrapping me in His love. He told me to trust Him, and I do. I pray for God to give my husband a heart of flesh. I am growing daily in my new walk with my Lord." (Florida)
"This past Sunday was my family reunion and the Lord just kept laying it on my heart to pray for my husband to come with me and our son. My husband is working out of the country. I dismissed it at first because it seemed silly and also impossible, but the scripture, ‘You have not because you ask not' kept coming to mind. I prayed asking God to arrange it if it be His will. I never mentioned to my husband about coming to the reunion. On Sunday, 10 minutes before I was to leave my house, the phone rang. It was my husband. He said he had flown in 2 days earlier and that he was on his way up to come to the reunion. God is so good." (West Virginia)
"After years of no contact my wife and I met at our son's wedding. I dreaded the day but my wife greeted me with a hug. We sat next to each other and spent most of the day together, remembering the times when our son was little. She said she was glad to see me." (United Kingdom)
"My prodigal told me I needed to move on and that he will be filing for divorce soon. He said only a miracle like parting the Red Sea could do anything. At that moment I felt total peace come over me. I choose to listen to the voice of God. He is still a God of miracles and I am waiting for mine." (Washington)
“After three years of painful separation and threats of divorce, clouds of change have begun. My husband and I met at a coffee house, where we chatted peacefully and calmly with each other. As we hugged and parted ways for the night, the Lord impressed in my heart not to despise humble beginnings, and I give God all the glory for leading us on the road to marriage reconciliation. I pray that the Lord will know the fear and insecurity from my husband's heart and order his steps to seek and find in me a good thing, a wife and a help mate.” (Canada)
"I received letters and pictures from my son, serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq. What a joy to hear from him and to actually see him whole and well in the pictures! I have been praying Psalm 91 daily for him and all the others on the "Serving Our Nation" list since before the war began, and now I have confirmation from my son that God has answered those prayers. He wrote, 'The Lord watched over my group as we drove up north during the beginning hours of the war. There was an ambush ahead of us, but we received warning of it a kilometer before we reached it. We turned around to take an alternate route. Thank you for your prayers.' More evidence of the power of prayer! We serve an awesome God!" (Nevada)
"My prodigal's son graduated from high school on Sunday. I prayed about attending the ceremony. I awoke late and decided to stay home. As I began mowing the lawn, the Holy Spirit intervened and I changed my mind. I planned to slip into the back of the gym and find a spot to stand. When I entered the gym, I found my prodigal standing against the wall. We stood together for the ceremony. While we didn't talk, God blessed us by arranging for us to witness this event together. God is amazing." (Minnesota)
"The Lord has blessed me so. After receiving discouraging news from my spouse, God has showered me with so many blessings that He's making sure I know that He will take care and provide for me. I applied to Seminary when my spouse left. There is a program in Europe for a couple of weeks that I'm able to attend. By God's grace, the company I work for is reimbursing me for my classes. Last week alone I was showered with abundant blessings. My friend asked me to a concert for free with premier seats, I went to get maps at AAA and they gave me two thick travel books for free. My friend offered to drive me to the airport to save on shuttle fee, and so many more blessings I cannot count. Praise You Lord, for You do provide." (California)
"Thank you so much for 'The ABC's of Standing' tape set you sent me. I am only on the third tape and sharing it with the women in AA and AlaNon. It is making a difference in their lives already. I am bolder now assuring them that our God is bigger than any of our circumstances." (Florida)
"My best friend and I have been praying for our prodigals and for God to break all the strongholds, addictions, and pride and to tear down the walls between us. God has transformed our lives through prayer and many trials. We pray He is doing the same in our prodigals as He has done for us. Praise God." (Florida)
"I have been asking the Lord if I am doing the right thing by standing. I saw my husband over the weekend for a few minutes. He thinks he will be alone for the rest of his life. I was able to tell him he won't. He isn’t riddled with all the anger from before." (Florida)
"A few weeks ago I noticed a damp patch on the carpet in our dining room. I phoned a plumber from the church, found the leak, and fixed the problem. After finding the leak, the back of the cupboards were saturated into the wood and the carpet in the dinning room was stained. Only a few weeks ago I was looking at the thread bare carpet in the traffic areas and wondering how on earth I was going to afford a new one. The cupboards in the kitchen are really poor and I haven't the money to buy new. It is covered completely on insurance which means a new carpet and all the cupboards in the kitchen will be renewed and fitted on the insurance. God is so good. Everything in the home that was really getting to me is sorted out and only with a small excess fee to pay." (United Kingdom)
"Once I understood that I had to let go and let God, my marriage was restored. My prodigal is home, attending church, going to counseling, and has established a new circle of godly friends. Thank You Lord for letting me see Your light through all the darkness." (California)

"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you...I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:17,27
“I am so grateful and blessed by the Holy Trinity. I wake up every morning and go to sleep every night singing their praises. I have grown so much in my relationship with the Lord during this course. I now know the peace of having a relationship with Him. He has given me a career in hospice nursing after 20 years at home.” (Ohio)
“Even though we are separated, my husband agreed to go to a marriage conference with me. God answered my prayers by bringing healing and understanding to both of us. He has decided he would like to reconcile. We have obstacles to overcome as we are living in different states, but I believe God will work out all the details. Praise God my prodigal is on his way home. “ (California)
"My husband attended our yearly camp out with our church and stayed on the same campsite as me and my son. He stayed in the tent with our son and I stayed in the trailer. We ate together, went for walks and had a great time. He even got to lead worship time because his sister was sick. Praise the Lord." (Washington State)
"Today a customer confirmed that God is still wanting me to stand for my marriage, and even waiting for a suddenly regarding my husband's return. She mentioned that I wanted to get home from work to see my husband. That is confirmation enough for me. This lady has seen my wedding ring on my finger." (Ohio)
"Praise the Lord, I have seen God move on the other side of the mountain. The other man has moved out of my wife's home. This is an answer to prayer that my sons no longer have to live in that situation when they are with their mother. I pray God will now soften my wife's heart toward Jesus Christ and me." (Indiana)
“Whenever my husband's family had a get together, my anger would burn against him and his ‘perfect’ family. I thought about what a hypocrite he was, and wanted to announce to everyone that he was an adulterer. Praise God, I just realized, this Thanksgiving the thought never even occurred to me.” (Pennsylvania)
"I'd been praying that my prodigal would finish our kitchen that he started one year ago Sunday. This past weekend he called to say he was on his way up. He cut the grass, jumped on the trampoline with all of us, and started on the kitchen. (I thank Charlyne and Bob for suggesting we keep journals, as I was able to look back and see it's been a year, but it's God time.) He also said he didn’t see why not when I asked if we could go to a movie? I will reward you in open for what you pray for in secret. Praise the Lord." (Georgia)
"I wanted to give a praise report that my prodigal came home. Praise God. You were right, Bob and Charlyne, it was when I least expected. I just can't describe the joy in my heart after the long storm, but for the work God did in me and in my husband I would not trade for anything. When going through the storm I never thought I would be saying I wouldn't trade it for anything." (Missouri)
"My son (in the military) is stuck in Kuwait and can’t come home yet because of the volcano in Iceland. I believed I was to pray and ask God to change the direction of the wind and clear a path for him to come home. On the news the next evening was a report that the wind and ash was changing direction. God is good to me." (Oregon)
"After accepting Jesus Christ into my life a few months ago, I have been baptized and have led a co-worker to Christ. He is now a fellow stander subscribing to your website, and spreading the word of Jesus Christ daily during business travels. I continually get asked about the joy that I have, and about my Bible that I read on my many airline flights. I praise His name continuously until the moment that my spouse returns. Thank You Jesus for Your perfect love. I met the Steinkamps one Monday evening in Pompano, and I look forward to another visit again soon. I never believed I would hear His Word, but I now live it every day." (Ohio)
"I just finished reading Friday's Charlyne Cares, written by Bob. I printed it off and gave it to my husband. We pastor a church and I told him this will preach. We are standing for our daughter who left her husband. She remarried and even had a baby. Her covenant husband is waiting on her to come home, as is, their nine year-old son. It is so wonderful to see him trust God for this seemingly impossible situation. They are both called to minister. My husband went to Nicaragua to preach, a little lady who knew nothing about us or our situation said our daughter was coming home and when she did it would mean the salvation of many. We are living in expectancy. Any day she is coming home. God loves her just the way she is, but loves her too much to leave her there. Isn't God good?" (Arkansas)
