"My husband and I have been separated for months. He has been angry and resentful toward me. I haven't heard from him in over a month. Two days ago was our anniversary and out of the blue he contacted me and asked me to dinner. Praise God. I have been praying and standing for our marriage since the first day of our separation." (Texas)

"Today is my birthday. I refused to let the spirit of gloom enter in. I have inner peace and joy I know is from the Lord. I had favor with the bank when I called to have overdraft charges removed, 50% was removed, more than what I asked for. I was blessed with a birthday cake and a bedding set that the Lord knew how much I wanted. Praises to my Lord Almighty." (Michigan)

"I made a poster with the words If I will believe, I will see the glory of God' and 'This battle is not mine, but the Lord’s.' The poster has a picture of God's hand holding a photo of my husband and me. Two scriptures in John 11 spoke to me on the eve of Easter, Resurrection Sunday. When I was doubtful, I told God that I wanted the marriage to work if for nothing more than for Him to get glory. A verse confirmed what I put in the poster; If I will believe, I will see the glory of God. I thank God for speaking to me and renewing my hope." (Maryland)

"I thank the Lord for a wonderful weekend. My husband came over on Saturday, and spent the day with us, doing things together as a family. We did the same on Sunday. When my husband left, he did not want me to be part of his life. A year later, he is proudly introducing me as his wife. When I thought that the Lord had forgotten about me and my marriage problems, He was actually moving mountains. The Lord did change me first, and He is changing my husband too. What a wonderful God we serve." (New York)

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." I Corinthians 10:13

“Something is very different about my husband the last few days. The oppression or evil spirits are no longer present. A friend today commented on the same thing. Thank You, Lord. I am so grateful for what He has done. I don't know what will happen from here, but I know that He will guide us.” (Florida)

“Saturday in church our pastor spoke about good being the enemy of great. In his sermon, I Corinthians 9:25 and Philippians 3:14 were key points. I feel that God is speaking to me and reinforcing His will. The sermon was to never give up and Charlyne Cares said again to never give up. I am standing in the gap with God, never giving up, and running the race to the finish.” (Michigan)

"I had requested prayer for my daughter-in-law. She was due to deliver our first grandchild. They had a safe delivery Saturday. Both Mom and baby girl are doing wonderful. How wonderful it is to have Grandma and Grandpa back together to welcome her into the world. God is so good." (Missouri)

"Glory to God. After having a child with another woman, my husband told me he wants to restore our marriage. The other woman called me and I was able to treat her with respect. There is work to do, but God will guide us through it." (Puerto Rico)

"Your devotional for today was the answer from the Lord Jesus for me. Thank you. You have no idea what this brought to me. All I can do right now is to praise the power of my Lord Jesus." (Connecticut)

"God has convicted me to say hello to my husband whenever I call to talk to our children when they are with him. The devil put fear in me about how he would react but God gave me grace to do it to keep communication open. God also spoke to me that our children should have their devotions and prayer time even when they are with their father, who is not a believer. They have started doing it already, praise God." (Canada)

"To God be the praise and glory. As I continue with my stand God has been using my church family to confirm that He hears my prayers and that He will heal my marriage. Over the past few weeks I have had people, including my Pastor's wife, telling me that God has been speaking to them about standing with me for my husband's salvation and our marriage. My faith has been strengthened." (Botswana)

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1:2-4

"I was very hurt this past weekend and called my husband. I was ready to give up. I cried and told the Lord I couldn't do it anymore. My husband and I had a nice conversation. He told me that he could not afford the divorce right now and did not know when he could. Praise the Lord." (California)

"My birthday was Wednesday and God touched my husband’s heart to call me. He also provided the money I needed to go to my church's women’s retreat. I been reading the four Gospel as Charlyne suggested and I have been richly blessed." (Georgia)

"I am back home with my husband after being separated for several months. We are open and honest with the past and I will continue to be prayerful. Thank you so much for your support while I was going through my storm. I know we have to continue to work on our marriage for the devil is busy, but I will continue to fight." (Illinois)

"After leaving our family for another woman, praise the Lord my husband told me that he has been convicted and has chosen God over that relationship. I thank God for your discipleship because you have shown me God’s way. I am awaiting the day my husband comes home to me, in God’s time." (New Zealand)

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation...And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

“My prodigal, who divorced me earlier this year, and I went to back to school night for our children. While meeting our son's teacher, we had neglected to introduce ourselves or to sign-in properly. We later went back to the classroom. We saw the teacher had signed us in as 'Mr. and Mrs.' My prodigal saw this and was given an opportunity to change it, but did not. Praise the Lord.” (Colorado)

"God is so great. Yesterday, at work a co-worker came up to me and asked me if I know a certain pastor from my hometown and I said yes. I suddenly remembered this was the pastor of the church that my husband attended at Easter a year ago. I know my marriage restoration is coming very soon. Thank You Jesus." (Georgia)

"I had a wonderful, uplifting day singing God's praises all through my work day. That evening, Satan stepped in to bring my spirits down. I realized it was a spiritual attack on me and cried out to God to help me. As I was driving down the street, I read a church sign that said, 'Your Father wants to talk to you. Read page 707 in your Bible.' I grabbed my Bible and read that page at the next light. The very short page started with Ephesians 6:13. Thank you, Lord for reminding me to wear the full armor of God. How I laughed and cried and praised my Lord and Savior." (Tennessee)

“My husband called and said that he had gone to a website of the school I am now working at, and saw the write up they did on me. He wanted me to know that he thought I could do a good job and would succeed. I was so surprised. Praise God for his words of encouragement. It has been so long since he has made any remark regarding anything I have accomplished. Thank You Jesus.” (North Carolina)

“My husband moved out and filed for divorce. I had a difficult time over the Memorial Day weekend. I told the Lord that I wish people would think about my daughter and me being alone, but they were with their families, eating Bar-b-que ribs, and having a good time. As soon as I realized that I was giving place to the devil, I began to thank the Lord for how He has taken such good care of us. A few hours later a knock came on the door, and there stood a neighbor with two plates of Bar-b-que ribs, corn on the cob, potato salad, and baked beans. I just started crying, then told the neighbor how God had used her to bless me. I did not specifically pray, ‘Lord, send me Bar-b-que ribs,’ but I mentioned them, and they were at my door. Isn't God awesome?” (Mississippi)

“I was alone standing in Brazil and God gave me a prayer partner in Germany. She is my age and is a blessing. On my wedding anniversary, July 7, (same as Charlyne and Bob) after four months of no news, my husband came by to take a few books. He didn't remember the wedding anniversary, but God remembered. I could see and hug my beloved. Thank You Lord for answering my prayers.” (Brazil)

"My wife has been gone for a few months and ignores me. She excitedly shared with me today that she got an A and a B on her first two tests at school. I shared my excitement and support with her. Praise the Lord." (Oregon)

"A recent 'Charlyne Cares' mentioned addiction to pornography and how it destroys marriages. My marriage is a victim of just such an addiction. I ordered the book 'A Day of Freedom.' To my surprise and delight, my prodigal was also touched by a song, (as in the book). I've been praying for some time that my husband would contact me about something other than kids or bills. He did, praise the Lord. He emailed me the song that had touched his heart and it touched mine as well. Glory to God. He will be right on time to restore my broken marriage." (Colorado)

"My husband has called me every day this week and has come by my office. He told me that he loves being around me and that I am comforting to him, but he also says that satan is fighting him hard on many fronts, but he says that once he is around me he knows that it is right. We are going to dinner tomorrow night at Cracker Barrel (Bob's favorite place) and to the mall. I enjoy being with my husband. I am not pressing him on anything and I know that when the Lord works it out, all will be good. I just have to remember that this time, I am not going to quit praying once he is back home." (Kentucky)

"I praise God for the amazing changes I saw when my prodigal came to visit. I felt like I was dreaming and everything was too good to be true. I had asked for signs to show that God was moving in my prodigal’s life and God in His mercy did exceedingly abundantly above all I was expecting." (South Dakota)

"Shortly after I left my husband and arrived in my sublet to start my new life, I heard God telling me that I would not divorce my husband but stand in the gap and pray for his salvation and that He would heal and restore our marriage. God led me to Rejoice Marriage Ministries who became our marriage counselor with hundreds of miles between us. God first began a great work in me, healing me and showing me the error of my ways. Now, praise God, I am back home after nearly a year and God is working on my husband as I continue to stand forever. Praise God." (North Carolina)

"I realized how much I have to be thankful for and I needed to be reminded that God has already done so many wonderful things for me. We have been separated for four months. Praise God, in that time, we have gone from not speaking, except to yell at each other, to my husband telling me that he loves me again and even had one false start coming home. Every time I've been ready to give up, I've pleaded for just a little more strength and a little more patience, and there it is. Twice now, I've been in my car bawling and feeling hopeless, and within thirty minutes, my husband will call me, out of the blue. It truly is amazing and I don't say thank you to Him often enough for everything He's accomplished when I truly remember to let it go and give it all to Him. He can and will restore my marriage, when HE feels we are ready." (Florida)

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

"Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands." Deuteronomy 7:9

“After months of being gone and limited contact, my prodigal spouse agreed to come today and sit down with me and our children and talk about matters. I was able to share with my spouse that I didn’t want a divorce and I saw our marriage worth saving. Months ago he wouldn’t have been so understanding in what his family has been dealing with. I pray for God to continue to turn our hearts toward Him first and then towards each other.” (Tennessee)

"Yesterday I was talking with God and asked Him to take over everything in my life. I also asked that He clean up the mess my wife and I have made and to please restore our marriage. Seconds after I made that request, I met an oncoming delivery van that had on the side 'Restoration Specialist.' I know in my heart it was a message from God saying, 'I am in control. I am the specialist in restoration.' I praise God for this inspiring event." (Tennessee)

"To God be the glory. My husband is spending more and more time with me and our children. He even joked the other day about a new ring. Thank You, God, for removing the scales from my eyes and giving me a new heart and causing me to obey You. Now I can see the miracles you are working in my husband’s life, and in my life, as You bring him home! To God be the glory." (Maryland)

"Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy...But I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice." Psalm 55:1-3,16-17

"I found myself renewed to marriage standing from hearing the Pope's words on the state of marriages in America and his encouragement to teach marriage as a lifelong commitment. My heart was filled with joy." (Colorado)

"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:4-5

"My prodigal is home today. During the court session his lawyer told me, my husband wanted to see the children. Saturday we all went out to eat and he is home. We are both very emotional right now. Everything happened so fast it is still hard for me to believe. Praise God." (Oklahoma)

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

"I was having a rough morning, crying out to God asking Him if He cared. The only reason I left the house was to get a tire fixed. The tire shop was busy and I had to wait some time. The manager finally brought my keys and told me my car was ready at no charge. I started to argue that I had come prepared to pay and he said I had not seen anything yet. We went outside and there were four new tires on my car. I started crying and he just looked at me and said, 'God said tell you He has your back.' This man did not know my circumstances." (Florida)

We want Testimonies to boast of what God has done, not on what Rejoice Marriage Ministries has done. We do not use a lot of testimonials about our material, but your stand for a restored marriage will be helped greatly by books and tapes from the Rejoice Bookstore.

"I had pretty much given up all hope that the Lord wanted my marriage saved. Yesterday I was with my in-laws and my children and we passed a Covenant Transport truck. I started to giggle and soon all the anger and bitterness was lifted. I praise the Lord that He is in total control and He is my strength during my time of trouble." (Maryland)

"On Sunday my Country was hit by an earthquake. Later in the day prodigal called to find out how we were doing. I thank God. He is an awesome God. He caused my prodigal, who has been keeping his distance, to remember us." (Dominica)

"My husband called to say he would be bringing the other person to our son’s game. I felt a strong conviction to take it to God and not call everyone for prayer like I tend to do. Praise God, the game had been changed and when we arrived it was already over. I did not have to see them. The Lord is doing great things." (Florida)

"Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:4-5

“My prodigal has been really going through it, so much so that he allowed me to pray with him yesterday.” (Illinois)`

"We had a bad ice storm. My cell phone was out until Sunday night and when I was able to turn it back on I discovered that (husband) had called me three times. I tried to call him back and was able to leave him a voice message. It is not like him to call me. I know God is working on his heart. It makes me more determined to stand for my marriage then ever." (New York)

"Since divorce my husband has not acknowledged my birthday at all. I included in my prayers a request for some form of birthday acknowledgment. My covenant husband called days before my birthday to ask me out for a birthday lunch. He also called on my birthday to wish me a good day. When he picked me up for lunch he had a card for me, as I had prayed. I praise God." (Florida)

"We had a fire two apartments over from our home. Praise God no one was hurt and our home was protected. Everyone got out safe. As the news helicopters arrived and I had prayed and given the situation to the Lord, I became concerned that my husband would hear about the fire on the news. I called him to let him know what was going on. He in turn made sure we had the things together we would need if we had to leave and was such a blessing from the Lord. We had damage to a few electrical things from the lightening strike. My husband helped replace and or repair everything that was damaged. We are in awe of our awesome God for His protection during this crisis. We are indeed blessed." (Texas)
