“I thank God that my husband came to spend Thanksgiving with us. He has also started dropping by to have dinner with us several times a week. I thank God that He has given me the strength to carry on with my stand.” (New York)

"I have a friend from the church I attend. The young lady divorced her husband. Two years later she came to our church with her two children and gave her life to Christ. She invited her ex-husband to come because she knew he needed healing. He came and has been there ever since. Every time you would talk to him about him and his ex-wife's marriage he would say, 'That is my wife and I believing God for restoration.' People would laugh at him (even me). The Pastors told him to move on. After about 1.5 years of proclaiming this, he and his wife got remarried and celebrated their one year anniversary three days ago. They have stood by me in my standing for the restoration of my marriage. This blesses me so much." (Pennsylvania)

"I received an email from an old friend from school whom I had not talked to or seen in 20 years. He said he was awakened early in the morning and I was on his mind. He didn't know why. But he felt he should contact me to see if I needed help or prayer. He wondered if Satan was attacking me. I called this old friend and explained my wife leaving me and seeking a divorce. He encouraged me that he had seen circumstances take a complete and sudden 180 degree turn when people pray. I took this incredible incident as God affirming my stand for my marriage. In the week since, a divorce hearing was pushed back." (Indiana)

"I was praying for an Easter miracle. On Friday night (Good Friday) when I thought all was lost, my husband suddenly called and said he needed me. He said he needed to come home. He was done with the other person and really needed me. He had packed his car and was calling me from the road. God is faithful. All in His perfect timing." (New York)

"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed." 1 Peter 4:12-13

"Standing has been a huge financial hardship as my prodigal was unwilling to help financially. Last week God moved him to change and we are now making budgets together as a married couple does. We have made progress where even a counselor and a pastor thought there was no hope. God is so faithful to resurrect the dead." (Michigan)

"On my way home from work I was calling out to God for a sign that He was still working on our behalf. At that moment I saw a Covenant Transport Truck. Thank You, Jesus." (Texas)

"Praise the Lord! My husband has come back from the far country. He came to the house and asked to move back in. He said he read about divorce in Leviticus. He also was sitting at the bar listening to people older than himself complaining about being alone and he didn't want to be one of those people. He said he realized he had someone who loved him unconditionally and a place he could be. Praise the Lord for providing for me and changing my heart. I am not the same person I was when he left. God provided for me and my children's every need. Thank you again for allowing God to work through you and give the Godly wisdom to pass on to others."

“Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.” Psalm 71:20-22

"My husband came home on Christmas Eve. We had a beautiful Christmas with the whole family together. I received more than I anticipated. I know the Lord still has a lot of work to do on him and myself. I am grateful that he is home and still praying for his salvation. Thank You Lord, for Your faithfulness." (New York)

"I had to have some lab work done to rule out cancer, and I was really worried about what the results might be. However, everywhere I looked the words 'I will deliver you from all your fears...' were shown to me, even when I switched on the TV. The Lord was giving me a message. I got the results today. The results are normal. Praise God, who did indeed deliver me from all my fears." (New York)

My husband contacted me this week to let me know he had papers for us to sign regarding the divorce. A few days later he called and asked me to go fishing with him, one of our favorite ways to spend time together. He didn't bring out the paperwork. This morning he showed up with the paperwork, and I instantly asked God to give me His grace. My husband got the paperwork out, and discovered we need to sign them in front of a notary. He put the papers away, and sat and had coffee with me, and then invited me to go fishing again later today. I was so thankful for the instant grace I felt God give me this morning, and how God intervened. I thank God for how real He is and how safe He keeps me as I daily face the firing squad of life and its trials." (Wisconsin)

“I thank God for what He's showing me and for the valleys He has allowed me to walk through. He has given me a new job where me and my kids can be OK financially until He restores our marriage to it's fullest extent and has blessed me in so many ways.” (Tennessee)

"My prodigal and I will be remarried in one month, two years after divorce. Last week my prodigal husband called the pastor and asked if he would remarry us privately. We will have a public renewing of our vows ceremony this fall for family and friends. The Lord gave me this vision of the wedding celebration when my prodigal was living with someone else. He even gave me the colors for the ceremony and the words for the announcements and invitations. This is all about the power of Jesus to resurrect dead relationships. 'Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished.' Luke 1:45" (Illinois)

"I sometimes ask God for a sign to encourage my stand. He never disappoints. I prayed for a sign. I then reconnected online with an old friend. He had remarried his ex-wife. They were beaming in the photos." (California)

"Today my prodigal called me and expressed an interest in coming to visit me in my home. Prior to this conversation, we have not had contact in a month. Although there have been false starts, I give praise to God for yet another breakthrough in our restoration." (Missouri)

"My husband has been home for a few months now. Praise the Lord. I cannot tell you the date he arrived home. It was such a gradual process. I know that it will take a very long time for our marriage to be what God wants it to be. But I know who my Redeemer is. I am now visiting my parents while my husband stayed at home. I trust my Lord to keep us safe from the Enemy's grip while we are separated by miles once again." (Wisconsin)

"My wife and I have been separated for months. Last week she texted me and told me she missed me taking care of her. She also cries a lot whenever we are together. Thank You Jesus." (Arizona)

"We were lay pastors for 14 years and the enemy came in and reaped havoc in our marriage. She is not serving God now. She did say to me she picked up the Bible for first time in three years and read it. I believe God is on the move. I believe God will restore our marriage and we will preach His good news again, thank You Jesus!" (Colorado)

"My husband came to eat Thanksgiving dinner with his family for the first time in many years. Thanks be to God for that blessing for the entire family." (Florida)

I wanted to hear a special speaker at a local church. I wanted to leave my son at my mother's. but. I could not reach my mother so I took my son with me. During this moving song about leaving a legacy, I looked down at my son, who had been rummaging through my Bible. He was holding a picture of me and my husband cutting the cake at our wedding. I had forgotten that I had put that picture in my Bible many months ago. My son held this picture and looked up at me and smiled. It was a precious moment. God is so faithful. (Texas)

"I want to praise God for the healing that is taking place in my husband’s heart. He helped with our child’s birthday party." (California)

"The holidays have been very difficult for me, not only without my husband, but dealing with family problems. My husband sent me some computer software I've been needing. The other woman tried to take my place in hosting Thanksgiving dinner. (A relative's) car broke down. My husband's grandmother was also to attend, but she changed her mind. Praise God for not allowing (someone else) to fill my shoes. I was also so excited on Christmas Eve when my father attended church. He has not been there in years." (Tennessee)

"I have been standing for the salvation of my husband and restoration of our marriage for years. My husband has been in a non-covenant for years. He has not contacted me very much. This past year my husband started to call me and just this week he initiated a visit with my family and myself for hours. We spent the time sharing wonderful family memories and laughing. By faith I believe the non-covenant is gone for good, (Hebrews.11:1). My husband initiated a hug to me at the end of our family visit. I thank the Lord for His faith that He has given me to wait on Him to save my husband and restore our marriage. I know my husband is testing the waters in both worlds. I also know my husband is responding to the Holy Spirit to come home to me, the wife of his youth, (Malachi.2:14). I thank the Lord for the faith He has given to me to believe Him and remain steadfast to His Word and trust in Him. 'Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season for delivery comes around, I will return to you.' (Genesis 18:14)." (State Deleted)

"I thank God for His provisions. God blessed me in staying home with my children and providing for all my needs during the summer months. I also had a court date scheduled and that has now been postponed to a later date. Praise the Lord, I know He is working and I will rest in His peace and timing." (Illinois)

"My wife and I have been talking and going on a few dates (with me). We still have some issues but I know God is in charge. I know that He will lead her back and I have to be patient. Thank You Jesus." (Florida)

“You have talked in the last few weeks about being ready to share our stands and testimonies. I wanted to say what a wonderful tool for that is ‘Scriptures For Standing.’ You have provided a great way for me to share with others why I am believing the Lord for restoration. I have made several copies to CDs to share when the Lord presents an opportunity. The Lord put in my heart to share this message with those who have come to me seeking to find what book I read or what counselor I found to make it possible for me to be so loving towards my spouse during a divorce. I can share my counselor’s name, (Jesus) and the book I read, (the Bible) but in the dark of night when they are searching for answers when I am not there, Jesus will be through Charlyne's words.” (Texas)

"My husband is still at home. I've been praying, begging God to spare my children the pain of watching their Daddy leave home. We sat down to talk tonight. God softened his heart and he suggested we both remain in our house. God not only steered my husband toward separation instead of divorce, but He is keeping him home, for my children. I love my Lord who I have total trust in." (Nevada)

"I met the girlfriend today. The Lord directed me to share my testimony of the wedding dress He has provided for my remarriage to my prodigal. She was blown away by my story. Sharing with her reminded me that the dress was not just an exercise in faith, but also a gift to me. I know that I will wear that gown soon. God does not take us down a road to lead us to a dead end." (Location removed)

“I wrote my friends and family to explain where I stand. God is teaching me to love this way. This may be the only way I can learn it.” (Pennsylvania)

"My husband walked out on me, I got evicted from my apartment, and my car was repossessed. I could not work because I was pregnant and had complications. I had to move in with my mom in her apartment. Now my marriage has been restored. I have a car paid in full, and a job making more money then I have ever made. My medical problems have been healed by prayer. The best part of my testimony is that through it people came to the Lord. I would not take back one thing I had to go through. God taught me intimacy with Him." (Florida)

"My husband was adamant about getting a divorce with a hardened heart. God heard my prayers, changed me and then changed my husband's heart. We now have a marriage better than ever before. I am thankful and grateful for His blessings - miracles do happen." (Arizona)

"I praise the Lord for moving in my husband's life. Since he left us months ago, he has been to our church several times. He came again on Sunday. He has been coming by quite often I want to also praise the Lord for helping me come up with some great ideas for gifts for very little, or no money. For example, we have had friends and family let us pick up pecans in their yards. I am amazed at how much comfort I have found this time of the year. I have learned to trust Him for all of my families needs. Thanks for the tape, 'Celebrate the Holidays.' I have been doing that and it is really making a difference for us." (Oklahoma)

"One morning on my way to work, I was praying for my marriage to be restored. Then I thought that this was crazy. It would take a miracle. I looked up to see one of those changing billboards as it said 'Miracles Can Happen.' Just as quickly, it changed to a different ad." (Louisiana)

"Today the front page of our newspaper’s local section did a two page spread on two remarriages of former spouses to each other. I know the Lord was speaking to me through this article. I was feeling down and defeated, with our first court date in March. I know the Lord has rebuked, softened and healed me." (Ohio)

“I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:14-26

"My wife returned and we were together again as a family for many months. But the enemy sadly led her to leave again. Now I'm learning to pray differently and finally beginning to learn to trust in God alone. Human help cannot fix this, but God can. His love never fails." (Oregon)

"They cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distress." Psalm 104:19

"My car started making an awful noise. I called my husband and he agreed to come look at it. He was very nice and helpful. It was great. I'm going to need a new car, but that's no problem for the Lord. Thank You, Lord for the time with my husband and making something good out of something seemingly negative." (Florida)

"I visited Rejoice Pompano Beach while my husband was away from the home for almost a year. He has been back ten months now. I can't say it's been easy, but I remember God's promises that He will restore and bless my marriage if I just trust him. I see many good things happening lately. I encourage all stander to keep believing, keep praying, keep on praising him, because He is faithful. My husband says he would never again make the same mistake again, and he is here to stay, till death do us part, and that he loves me more than I know. Praise God." (Florida)

"I am now co-teaching a Bible study class. Not only was our divorce dismissed from the courts twice, my husband and I are once again communicating. Praise God." (Ohio)

"I have posted several court dates over the past year. For reasons that God knows, they have been delayed. We were scheduled for a jury rial and even picked a jury, but after lunch when we came back into te courtroom my husband (who filed) asked to cancel or get a continuance, saying he was not prepared yet. Praise to the Lord." (Georgia)

"I did not read the Charlyne Cares February 7 issue until today when I went to read it at the end of a very trying day. The main attack I had suffered was an early Valentine's Day card to my husband from the other woman. What really hurt me was that she had signed it with her first name and our last name. When I opened my email and read the following I was amazed at God's power and Love for me. He works in so many ways we can't imagine. (Bob had written in Charlyne Cares: ‘... I opened the receipt to see "Mrs. Robert E. Steinkamp" signed on it. I had never before seen that name written in anyone's handwriting except Charlyne's. It just did not look right. I felt trapped. My indigestion that night did not come from Italian food, but from the thought there might soon be a "Mrs. Robert E. Steinkamp" who was not really "Mrs. Robert E. Steinkamp)." (Wisconsin)

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." II Peter 3:8-9

"It has been almost two years since my husband left home and did not speak to me. I am due for surgery on February 14. The operation was postponed because my blood count was low. I told my husband about the surgery and the tablet that I had to get. He purchased the tablet for me and was very concerned about how I am taking it. This is really a start and I want to thank God that he is still in the miracle business." (Trinidad)

"I give God all the praise. My husband came home on Monday. I give God all the praise. Miracles do happen." (Ohio).

"As a toddler, my son had liver cancer that spread to his lungs. He was not expected to live. I stood for his healing. After two years of treatment and several surgeries, he was healed. The side effects from the chemo have been issues for us and we were told eventually he would have heart failure (among other things). He had an appointment with the cardiologist this week. They were going to put him on heart meds but wanted to do one last test. I prayed that my son would have God's heart physically and spiritually. His heart function was low requiring medication but now the test showed it is normal and they told us he won't need medication and they will see us next year!! Praise God, healed again." (Canada)

"Last year I received nothing for Mother's Day. This year not only did my prodigal make a special trip to take the kids to buy me something but he text me. He also gave me a check for hundreds of dollars because he thought that I could use it." (Pennsylvania)

"I had been standing since divorce. I kept asking God for a sign that marriage restoration was His will. I was reading Charlyne’s devotional about Tim Tebow and John 3:16 at the BSU championship game. I was at that game. The sign was there and I didn’t even know it. Charlyne, you were the bridge in my stand between me and God." (Florida)

“Thank you for using part of my email in Charlyne Cares. It was such an encouragement, as today I found out from the court that the divorce took place over two years ago, without my knowledge. I was able to share about it with a pastor at my church. He is having to complete court papers for divorce, but is standing faithful to his vows in it all. We were able to pray together about our situations. Praise God that I was able to encourage him.” (England)

“One night, during an argument, I pushed my wife and she fell down. for her, it was the last straw. She called 911, and I spent the night in jail. By the time I was bailed out, she had already filed for a divorce, and had an injunction in place that did not allow me near the home we owned, or to contact her in any way at all. At first I was angry, but God began to move in my life, and break my will, until I called on Him to change me. I then became convicted that I was not to accept the divorce, and to stand for God to restore my marriage. My lawyer advised me, as did friends, to get it over with, and start to heal my life. But that wasn't what God was telling me to do. My wife, and I are both Christian's, so I knew that God could reach her, as He had reached me. Every day, it seemed that He gave me the very verse I needed to get me through. I learned that when I became most discouraged was just before God was about to make a move toward restoration. It was just that Satan too was working hard to get me to quit, and give up. But God gave me the strength to get through those times because I got on my face to Him, and asked Him to honor the promises He made in His Word. And He never failed me. Last week my wife emailed me that she was willing to meet with me at a Christian counselor’s office. Today she called to tell me she was dropping the injunction so that we could begin to see each other and talk again, and that I could move back home after our first counseling session this Friday. God has changed me, and He has moved her.” (Florida)
