My spouse came home. We have both agreed to counseling with our Pastor. We both made mistakes but God is good. God's word is true and everlasting. He restores people to himself and to each other. (Texas)

"Guess what else! My husband came to Easter dinner! We had not seen or heard from him in almost two months. I had called and left a couple of messages that he was welcome to come celebrate Easter with us, but he never responded. Today as I was preparing a feast for the children and myself, I decided to call one last time. He answered the phone, asked what we were doing, and then asked if he could come over! He brought me a lovely blooming lily, and gave me money to cover April's expenses. When he left, he hugged me and thanked me for letting him come and for being sweet." (South Carolina)

"Each day the Lord gives me a sign my prodigal husband will be home soon. Yesterday my prodigal put his head on my shoulder and kept repeating how much he missed me. I know the Lord is working in his heart more and more each day." (Kentucky)

"Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them." Psalm 69:34

"Sunday night my husband cooked us dinner at my house. He ended up staying and watching a movie with me! Every week I see God working in his life!" (Kentucky)

“Standing for my marriage has brought me closer to God than I ever thought I could be. However, I was becoming discouraged, and even disobedient to God. I planned to go to church tonight and asked God for some sign or direction. The first thing we did was sing, ‘Standing on the Promises.’ How much clearer can you get? Thanks be to God for His mercy and wisdom.” (Georgia)

"On Tuesday my daughter called me at work to say a man came to the door to tell her he had a delivery. There were several boxes of food and one with a beautiful harvest centerpiece. She asked what this was and he said a gift from God. Friday night we were hit by the hurricane and have now been without power for 10 days with more to come. The food has been provision and the centerpiece complete with candle holder has provided light in our home for several nights. What a blessing." (Texas)

"To God be the glory. For the first time in years my husband invited the children and me to visit him where he lives in another country. Celebrating Easter together was the biggest blessing. I know that in spite of everything, there are things that only God can see." (Hong Kong)

“Praise the Lord for He is good. Prior to our divorce and separation, one of our family’s favorite pass times was to attend football games. High School, College or Professional it didn’t matter, if there was a game close by, we went. We haven’t done this for years. This past weekend we went together as a family to homecoming events and a football game at the University our daughter attends. What a great weekend. When all seemed hopeless, the team we were cheering for got the victory in overtime. I know the Lord was telling me to never give up, even if I feel like its overtime, the victory will be ours in His perfect timing.” (Missouri)

"My husband filed for divorce. I prayed and decided I could not sign the papers. We went to court today. The judge did not grant the divorce, but required a minute reconciliation conference. I was able to share with my husband that God is going to rebuild our marriage, and that I will be waiting for him forever. I told him I loved him. I know God is going to rebuild what was destroyed." (Kentucky)

Praise the Lord that my beloved spouse and his non-covenant are planning on attending our parish's Mission event. This was the first time since he left years ago that I had the courage to invite him to something at our church, knowing I'd need to invite her as well. I trusted that it was the Holy Spirit nudging me to do so and will leave the rest in His hands. Even if they don't come, I know it's a miracle that they even considered it. God is at work. (Pennsylvania)

"Our Lord is so good to me. After my wife left, in one of my weakest moments I agreed to sign the divorce papers. The court mandates a parent class which both parents are supposed to attend separately. I completed the requirement trusting God that if it was His will he will resurrect our dead marriage. Glory to God last week I received a letter from the court house saying they are dismissing the case in 30 days because my wife has not completed the parenting class requirement. I give the Glory that we are still married." (Oregon)

"My prodigal came to our state to visit our children at our home. The visit was great and we both apologized for things leading to divorce. He wants to come home but is feeling guilty about leaving the other person. I am glad that I was prepared for this through your ministry teachings. I know now is not the time to get weary but to be steadfast in prayer and fasting. Jesus is Lord." (Georgia)

"It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." Titus 2:12-14

"I stood for my marriage for almost six months. I called a divorce attorney and things were deader than dead. Once I let go and let God, He restored my marriage and now my wife and I have a baby girl. I hope this inspires others to follow the Lord and not to listen to the world. He will fulfill his promise." (Germany/Armed Forces)

"I was asked to speak at a women's conference. I shared on forgiveness. One night I asked God how I could love my spouse again. My husband would never know the pain he caused me. The Lord spoke to my heart; 'You love him with the same love I love you with. You will never know the pain I went through for you on the cross and I don't require you to know.' God doesn't require me to know and I can’t require my spouse to know my pain. Forgiveness flooded my soul that night for me and for my spouse." (Virginia)

We spent the entire four days of Thanksgiving weekend together as a family. Praise God. (Florida)

"A relative who recently left her husband was at our family Christmas with her new boyfriend. I did not know he would be there until I arrived. I held back tears all morning. All I could see was my husband and the other person. Then I started to notice all his awkwardness and remembered Bob's teaching about our prodigals being uncomfortable. I have taken this as encouragement that my husband is not at ease and is not having fun. Thanks to Bob and to my Lord for this surprise encouragement." (Australia)

"After the divorce hearing, I walked away in pain and anguish. I got in my car crying for God to give me something, a sign that He really want me to stand for my marriage. I pulled up to the parking booth exit and the lady asked me if I was all right. When I explained my dilemma, the lady grabbed my hands and told me to pray to God for He will restore my marriage. Wow, could He have answered any sooner? Praise God." (Michigan)

"I was ready to give up last night. I prayed for God to give me a sign that I was to continue my stand. My prodigal sent me a text message today. I also received an inspiring email that told me not to dare give up. It spoke right to me. I will continue my stand. Praise God for answering prayers." (Texas)

"Today as I was driving a billboard stuck out and spoke to my heart. I knew it was the Holy Spirit. The billboard read, "Everything Is About To Change.' When I checked the mail I had received a letter from the local housing authority telling me that a voucher for housing assistance was available to me after years of being on the waiting list. My heart was troubled on how I was going to afford housing for my children and myself. God had taken care of this. To Him be the glory." (Florida)

"This past Sunday my husband came for dinner and watched the football game. Then he and I played football with the kids in the yard. After he left, he sent me a text telling me he had a nice day and asking about next Sunday. I reassured him next Sunday and any other day he wants. God continues to work on my prodigal. Satan tries but God just pulls harder."(Ohio)

We have a praise from Pompano that came by phone this week. A new local stander had called us. When she was asked how she heard about Rejoice Marriage Ministries, the caller said she was referred by a friend, who had received help here years ago. That hurting wife had attended Charlyne's Monday evening Bible study in 1992 or 1993, before it outgrew our home. The last notation we had made about this restored couple was 1997, with the husband then on fire for the Lord, and actively involved in the largest church in our area. We learned this week that a long-anticipated child had been born to them over a year ago. They had also moved to Michigan with another couple to plant a new church. Praise the Lord.

"Last Friday the kids asked (husband/father) to come watch movies with them. Praise God he showed up Friday night and watched movies with us and fell asleep on the couch. I expected him to be gone when we woke up. Praise the Lord again, he stayed all day Saturday. What a wonderful day we all had. He left Saturday evening but he showed back up Sunday afternoon. This has been the best weekend since this started, just when I thought things were at their darkest. (Oklahoma) (A Bobservation-I wish it were possible for every prodigal to spend just one weekend at home and realize, first, how much God has changed their spouse, and second, to be reminded of all they are missing, attempting to live right side up in the upside down world of divorce.)

“I got an email this morning from the couples ministry at church inviting my husband and I to a Christmas fellowship. Our names are still on the roster with all of the other couples. I thank God that in spite of our circumstances, we are still a married couple and He still wants our participation and presence at the couple’s fellowship. No matter what the world says God is still holding my marriage strong.” (Maryland)

“I have been praying for my daughter and son-in-law's marriage. This week I felt like my family was being hit hard and nothing was going right. My younger son-in-law was in a car accident and totaled our car. Because of complications, the car insurance wasn't going to pay for the damage which came to thousands of dollars. Both are students, so it was money they didn't have. I was so down this morning and asked God to lift me up and give me some hope. Tonight my older daughter, who left her husband, phoned to say she had gone out for dinner with her husband last night. The insurance company phoned to say they would honor the insurance and pay the cost of the car accident. Praise the Lord.” (Canada)

“I have kidney failure and am on the organ transplant list. When I saw my doctor recently, he told me my best friend and my prodigal wife had been tested to donate a kidney. My prodigal is compatible. Praise God. My wife offered to donate a while ago, but I didn't want her to do this due to my anger. She got tested anyway and has kept the offer open. My mother said that God impressed upon her this is His way of humbling me and this is what is going to reunite me and my prodigal spouse.” (Massachusetts)

"I had court scheduled and had fasted and prayed, as had friends. I was having lunch prior to court with my husband when my attorney called to say he was sick and could not contact my husband’s attorney. My husband went to his attorney in the courtroom to cancel and to schedule for another date. My husband is the one who had his attorney cancel the date due to God softening that heart. Praise God. I asked Him for January and He gave me February. This is the second time the date has been cancelled, with no court activity for over a year. Praise God. Our God is a miracle working God and he hears our prayers." (California)

"Then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all his efforts to search it out, man cannot discover its meaning. Even if a wise man claims he knows, he cannot really comprehend it." Ecclesiastes 8:17

"I continue to be amazed by our Father in Heaven. I am standing for both the healing of my marriage and for my prodigal wife to come to know Jesus. Praise God, my wife called and asked for her Bible and for my suggestions on a Bible study. It occurred to me that my wife is approaching a spiritual fork in the road. Our divorce hearing is less than a month away, and I believe she is really examining her life before she goes through with it. I pray that I will be a faithful servant of God in helping her in any way I can. Thank you so much Bob and Charlyne for this life-changing ministry." (Maryland)

"The Lord is faithful. My spouse called to tell me that he quit a part-time job that he had. This was a answered prayer, because it was taking up all his free time that could have been spent with us. I know that God is 'working on the other side of the mountain." (Indiana)

"I thank God that I was given the opportunity to reaffirm to my husband that I will be obedient to God’s will to stand for my marriage, even if it means I have to wait the rest of my life. I thank God that He gave me the courage to stand up and say those words." (Missouri)

"My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, "Where is your God?" These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go with the multitude, leading the procession to the house of God, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng. Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." Psalm 42:2-6

"After months of no communication, I was surprised when my husband replied to my instant message. We chatted about small things. We agreed to meet when he comes to my place for a visit. I thank the Lord for that sweet time He gave us." (Philippines)

“Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.” 1 Chronicles 16:8-10

"My wife divorced me. Tonight I ran into one of my wife's family in a convenient store. It was a very good conversation. We each said a few things to each other, and it brought smiles to his and my face. It was a very good experience. God is working this out for my God because I love Him and I've been called according to His purpose." (Texas)

“I have been feeling hopeless. I have been praying and fasting and the Lord spoke to me in a way only He can. I have been seeing a lot more Covenant Transport trucks. I have never seen them like this before in my life. I know that this is no coincidence. It is God speaking to me and telling me to stand firm.” (New Jersey)

"I requested prayer for child care for the evening shift. My current sitter had to back out because of personal issues. The Lord has provided another sitter who is also a believer and lives even closer to us. God always makes a way when there seems to be no way." (New York)

"My pastor-prodigal husband was up for ordination and he has been taken out of the program. They will be working with him because of his deficiencies. This is a direct answer to prayer. To top it off, he is being nice to me again, no hostile conversations, for the last month. He even gave me a ride to the auto shop and asked about my health." (Texas)

"I had an experience with my husband and showed my anger. I was disappointed and prayed about it. While studying my Bible I was listening to music on 'Stop Divorce Radio.' One of Charlyne's teachings came on and it was about anger. She talked about the very passage I was reading at the time. Thanks be to God. He is amazing." (Arkansas)

"It is New Year’s Day and I just received a phone call from my wife. She has asked me to come to dinner with her and the kids. Thank You Jesus. My divorce was set to be final any day. I have been on my knees since I received that call. I pray it is a beginning to restoration of our family. Nothing is to big for my God." (Missouri)

"Thanks to our Heavenly Father. This morning I spent quiet time in prayer asking our Lord to stop communication between my prodigal and one of his family members who is hurting instead of helping our marriage. My husband wrote an email, that came moments after my time with the Lord, saying that he would stop talking to the one that is hurtful to our marriage. Praise our Lord God almighty." (Oklahoma)

"Praise the Lord, my prodigal has come home. It was just like Charlyne said it would be; unexpectedly." (Florida)

“I have been chosen by RBC (Radio Bible Class) Ministries to give my testimony. It will be aired on “Words To Live By” in the future. This ½ hour broadcast is aired Saturdays on hundreds of stations. I was interviewed by phone and the person continued to be amazed at what I shared concerning my stand for marriage, forgiveness towards my spouse and my determination to wait on God. She told me I would be able to share scriptures and to mention the support I've received through ministries. Needless to say, Rejoice Marriage Ministries will be on top of the list. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.” (Tennessee)

“I recently wrote you about my prodigal. I just wanted to extend a thank you. I have received advice about my marriage from friends and family, who deeply care for me. However, there was something deep within me telling me that God had his own advice for me. One day, when I was about to give up on my marriage, I began to surf the web when I finally settled on oneplace.com. I typed in the search column 'marriage,' and it gave me your page. I heard your Bible study about standing for your marriage, and was filled with the Word of God, and that solidified it for me. I was in for the long haul. Today, my prodigal went to church with me after being away from church for four months. I know God is doing a good work in me as well as my prodigal. 'Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9" (Georgia)

"While we were apart this time, I recommitted my life to God and His perfect plan for a marriage. My husband has been home for two weeks, and we just got back from a three day Christian marriage conference, armed with information and power from the Holy Spirit to restart our marriage right." (Tennessee)

"Thank you for printing the prayers of children. My three children ask for my binder of marriage material so they can read and re-read these prayers. It's great for them to know there are other children who are believing for a miracle." (Canada)

"My returned prodigal had planned a conference where the other woman was to meet him. His flight was cancelled due to the large snowstorm. He asked for my help to reschedule his flight. God allowed me to help my prodigal and show him my unconditional love. Once again God slowed him down by cancelling the next flight due to mechanical difficulties and his arrival at the conference was delayed a day. The day after my prodigal returned from his conference, the Lord gave me 2 Corinthians 2:7-8; 'Now it is time to forgive him and comfort him. Otherwise he may become so discouraged that he won't be able to recover. Now show him that you still love him.' Praise the Lord." (Indiana)
