"My children and I were having financial difficulties and thought we might have to move from our home. We prayed for help. I never told a soul about our problem. After a week, praise the Lord, we got exactly the amount we needed to save our home. I am so thankful. God is so wonderful to His people." (Texas)

“My husband and I separated. I had started my journey on getting evidence for divorce. God told me to stop wrestling with Him. I recommitted my life to God. I have so much peace now. One day I know my prodigal will come home. Thanks to standers for your testimonies. I did not know that there were many of us.” (South Africa)

"A woman that I really didn't know very well asked me if I was separated or divorced. I said I was separated, and started to explain about standing for my marriage. She told me that God had wanted her to talk to me for a couple of weeks and she hadn't listened because she didn't know if I really was separated since I still wear my ring. She told me that God wanted me to know that my marriage would be healed, just as He had healed hers. Praise God for people who follow the Lord's guidance. I've never felt so assured in my marriage restoration as I was at that moment when God led someone to come up to me. We can’t hesitate when God gives us something to do, as we have no idea how He wants to touch someone else." (Texas)

“I was still praying for my prodigal, but only half heartily. With Christmas, it seemed to hurt worse. I get so tired of coming home to an empty house or going places by myself. Even though I tried to trust Jesus I found myself slipping. It seemed He wasn't hearing me when I did pray. I wanted to see something, anything, just to know He was still at work on my prodigal. My prodigal is overseas and we only communicate through email. My adult children and I had sent him Christmas packages. In the packages, I included Christmas cards from my family and his family. Today I heard from Him, thanking us for the gifts and the cards. He told us how much it touched him. In the email my prodigal sent to us he said 'I love you all.' My Jesus gave me my Christmas miracle. How faithful and true He is.” (Texas)

"We walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7

"My prodigal told me he loved me as he was leaving. Later he told me that he didn't realize that he said it and that it was subconscious. Praise God. That means he must think about it all the time. Take that Satan. God is so Good." (New York)

"My prodigal husband has agreed to come home the week of Christmas and prepare a meal for us and stay and share the meal with us and friends that we've invited to the house. God is good and He has shown me that He means no divorce. I know that He is taking care of the other strongholds by removing them all. Thank you, Jesus." (Florida)

"After a year of turning his back on his Lord, my husband returned to the Father and to our family. We are in a new town, away from where all the pain happened and able to start a new life. We still need much prayer. However, the blessings have been great and I know God will continue to heal our marriage." (California)

"This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." John 3:19-21

"The divorce has been delayed repeatedly. Over the last few months I have fasted and prayed and the other woman broke up with my husband. He has now begun to come home more often. He came home for Thanksgiving. I know that God is working behind the scenes and the divorce, which is to be finalized next month, will soon be dismissed. Thank you for teaching me about standing and faith." (California)

"After hardly ever seeing my wife for a few years, she asked me out to eat tonight for my birthday. God is at work. With man, it is not possible, but not with God. With God, all things are possible." (Louisiana)

"I have been having serious trouble paying bills because I had to retire early due to health problems, and my income is considered poverty level. When I checked on my retirement plan, I was astonished at how it had grown during the last couple of years. I was able to liquidate some of it and pay my debts. God is so good! I know that in His time, I will see changes in my prodigal. We have no contact, but he cannot run from the Holy Spirit, so I still stand, and I will continue to stand." (Texas)

"God answers prayers. My husband was in a non-covenant relationship and she became pregnant. I stood on God's Word that if I delight myself in Him that He will give me the desires of my heart. Praise God that I haven't heard any more of this pregnancy." (Oklahoma)

“I contacted (husband) about one of our children and we began to talk, which we have not done in months. Then I told him if he would like to talk anytime to call, and I would be here for him. He stuttered around and said that he was sorry for all that had happened and that he never meant to hurt me. I was like in awe and started crying. I know that God is working on my prodigal spouse.” (Tennessee)

"I noticed (my son's) Bible was on his bedroom floor, not on his bookshelf where it'd been for months. Every few days it was in a different spot on the floor. Too good to be true, but it was; he'd started to read it! We've had some great discussions and he's on his way back to the Lord! He asked me if I'd go buy him a NKJV Bible so he could compare it with his NIV! Thought I'd died and gone to heaven! (My other son) said today he's going to buy him a NKJV like his own as a gift. In just one short year I've gone from living with one surly, quietly rebellious and tremendously sad teenager to living with two growing-in-the-Lord young men. My guys don't know what God wants them to do, but they're seeking and, at this point, both of them are talking of going on to the Christian college where (my husband) and I met. All this is a miracle. If He's working this fast in my boys, He has to be working in (my husband). He's not going to restore my boys and ignore my husband. Keep sowing and sowing and sowing. The harvest will come." (California)

“My prodigal has returned home. I am praising God for answering my prayers, as He said He would, and granting me the desires of my heart. It's one thing to hear songs on the radio, read the Bible passages of those touched by God expressing this same sentiment, but to feel it is beyond explanation. God does speak to us and He does answer prayer. My husband told me he 'kept seeing signs' telling him to come home. God was working the entire time I was wondering if He really was. Our God is an awesome God.” (Florida)

“My prodigal spouse visited with our children this weekend and he came by himself. He surprised our son by picking him up from school. My husband and I had a wonderful conversation for over an hour. Today we sat together at our son's football game. I praise God for the oppression he lifted from me just last month. I praise the Lord Jesus that I was able to show my husband that I have forgiven him and that I will always be a friend to and for him.” (Georgia) - - - - - “My wife and I were to be in court for her visitation and child support motions. After several hours, her attorney and mine met and her attorney came up with a proposal that she should have supervised visitation and pay me child support. Ironically, the supervised visitation is to be at our home and I am the supervisor. Praise the Lord. Even though my prodigal is still with another, I can sense God working and I am grateful.” (Tennessee)

"I thank God for delivering me out of sins of lust. I have been standing but visiting dating sites recently. Each time I log on to those sites, I am convicted that I should stand for my marriage on God’s promises. I am set free and confessed to God. I have gone back to a faithful, forgiving God." (United Kingdom)

"My husband moved out months ago. He told the kids he wasn't coming back. Yet I told the kids to keep praying and hold on to hope. Just because daddy says he isn't coming back, doesn't mean God doesn't have another plan." (Virginia)

“After nine months of separation due to work, I have found out that my husband was unfaithful just three weeks ago and is unrepentant and not coming home. His heart is so hard, I thought our case was hopeless. Today I prayed for a tangible sign that I was right to stand for our marriage - I asked God to get my husband to phone or email me today. About an hour later, I got an email from him dealing with practical issues, but he also said he thought about me every day and was sorry to have hurt me. I know God will work on his heart and bring him to repentance. Praise Him!” (France)

"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken." Psalm 34:17-20

"I thank God that my prodigal husband took me and the kids out to dinner for my birthday and bought me a gift. He also came to church last Sunday. God is faithful." (Canada)

"I have been praying for godly communication with my husband. On Friday I took to heart a recent Charlyne Cares devotional and decided to fast lunch that day. I prayed at work through the day. That evening my husband called to talk to me. (something he never does). I asked his forgiveness and for his patience with me when we speak. He told me it was the best conversation we have had in two years. Praise the Lord for breaking a stronghold." (New York)

"My friends had been fasting and praying with me for the week prior to our court date. On that day we listened to ten other cases first. All were processed in the same manner as a K-Mart refund line. This really angered me and I know that was God calling me to stand. The judge agreed to adjourn for several weeks. I praise God for moving supernaturally and allowing more time for Him to touch my wife’s heart. My friends, seasoned believers, have a new level of faith after seeing this power of prayer and fasting even seasoned believers. (Australia)

"Last night the phone rang and it was someone asking for me by first and last name. A male's voice asked me how I was doing. I asked ‘Who is this?' It was (husband)! I was so shocked. He was very cautious talking to me. I told him I still love him. I asked if there was still a chance for us and he said a good one. Then he told me that he has been carrying my favorite ring in his wallet the whole time I was gone. When I hung up, I was ecstatic! God is so wonderful." (South Dakota)

“My spouse is in the process of moving back home. It happened suddenly as Charlyne has told us many times. Things my spouse has said in the past few weeks has confirmed to me that God heard every cry, every prayer, in the past three years. I read Bob's book, 'The Prodigal's Perspective' and it was like reading a biography of my prodigal..” (Georgia)

"My prodigal who says he wants nothing to do with God, encouraged me to apply to send our kids to a Christian school for this coming school year. God is good." (Florida)

“We are another step closer to our total restoration. I last saw my husband in December then last week we had lunch together. We had a very pleasant lunch and conversation. He shared several personal issues and gave me a hug when we met and again when we left. It has taken me a long time, but I can say I trust God for His perfect timing for our reconciliation and restoration. I do have my new wedding dress in the closet and will praise the Lord again whenever that day comes.” (Arizona)

“My husband will be coming to be with me for Christmas. I had not spoken to him in months and have not seen him for a year. Praise the Lord. He will be staying with me.” (Georgia)

“I drove past a little country deli that had a “Now Hiring” sign out that I have seen there for over a year. I felt led to go in and apply, the whole time praying, 'Lord, find favor with me in the owners eyes.' The owner wanted someone with experience. As I started to go I saw a picture of moose on the wall, and said, 'I had those things walking through my yard in Alaska.' She lit up as we talked. A couple hours later she called me to ask if I could start to work Monday. Praise God, He made me stand out in a way that He knew would touch her interest. I will work hard to bring glory to Him.” (Texas)

"In the begining of my stand, God gave me Romans 12:12. Until recently I could not understand how I could rejoice in hope. God has given me peace that surpasses all understanding. I have faith in His promises and I know He is working on our situation. Praise His name." (Florida)

"This past weekend everyone around me was getting involved in different ministry opportunities. I had three opportunities come before me but felt the Lord was saying no to each. I asked Him what I was called to. I asked if my heart for marriage restoration distracted me from His call on my life. Today I opened 'Charlyne Cares' and the title was 'Your Calling-Marriage Restoration.' Thank You, God and thank you, Charlyne and all at Rejoice." (Colorado)

“While my children and I pray nightly for my husband to come back to the Lord, it's been a long time since I was blunt with them about my faith and stand for this family's restoration. I've never denied it to them, but with court dates just around the corner, I had fallen into the devil's trap of fear that I would be seen as doing them harm by expressing hope. I praise God that last night, when my oldest had trouble sleeping and came out saying he missed Daddy being in our house, the first thought God gave me was to pray about how to handle this. Immediately came, 'Pray with him-pray the scriptures his young mind knows-make it real.' We talked, prayed, hugged, and I was blunt. I praise my Father for giving me that courage and obedience. My son went back to bed and was asleep when I checked in just ten minutes later. Amen! By the way, his favorite verse it the one he learned just a month after his earthly Daddy left home; Luke 1:37 - ‘For nothing is impossible with God.” (Massachusetts)

"Today I saw my mother-in-law for the first time in several years. She walked over to me from across a store. We hugged and had a brief pleasant exchange. God is changing circumstances in my beloved's life and in mine. Today was an excellent example of His work and timing. Our God is so good." (Texas)

“I thank God for leading me to this ministry. Our marriage is restored after seven years of standing. Had it not been for the truth taught here I doubt we would had made it. There are so many divorces in the church we attend. We will be renewing our vows next year, which will be our 30th anniversary. Glory to God.” (North Carolina)

"I asked the Lord to confirm if I should continue standing since it has been so long, though my spouse and I are not divorced. At church the topic was "Loyalty At Work." I was asked to head a group and discuss the importance of loyalty. The Lord has continued to refresh my soul." (Republic of Panama)

"One evening this weekend, I was a little down and took a prayer walk around the neighborhood. I was frustrated and sad and once again calling out to God to just please fix the mess and send my prodigal husband home. I had just walked back into the house when I got a call from my husband asking me if I could do a favor for him. He said he wanted to start moving things, including himself, back home. Of course, I said yes! How's that for an answer to prayer? Thank You Lord." (Virginia)

"My prodigal sent me a sweet message of encouragement for Valentine's Day. He asked me to continue to be gracious and forgive. He said he was in prayer and the Word today. Praise God, because His Word doesn't come back void! The Holy Spirit is working in his heart. I am confident my husband will be delivered from his sin and return to our family soon." (California)

"My parents moved to Tennessee. Since I am the only Christian in the family, I have prayed for my whole family to know Jesus. My children and I visited them this weekend. God opened the door for me to be honest about my feelings regarding our relationship. I thought I was going to TN to see the mountains, but God showed me He is able to heal all relationships in my family, not just my marriage." (Florida)

"Sunday I woke up with the Lord and began to ask Him to please give me a sign to let me know that my standing with prayer and fasting isn't in vain. About an hour later my husband calls me out of the blue asking me how I'm doing and if I was up for church. I praise God because He's showing and teaching me how to depend on Him and that all things are possible to those who trust and believe in His Word." (Michigan)

"A few weeks ago a friend and I became irritated by our acceptance of our marriage situation and our telephone conversation became a time of warfare prayer. Within a week, her husband was home and wanting to be baptized, praise God, but I was facing the prospect of being homeless and penniless shortly. I encouraged myself by finding a situation in the Bible that I could relate to, the Red sea crossing. You then wrote in Charlyne Cares about our Red Seas. Over the weeks, the Red Sea has been my recurring theme. After a series of miracles, my bank account did not run dry. I am now in a position to buy my own home. Despite the physical blessings, the greatest gift has been an increased level of faith and endurance." (United Kingdom)

“My husband moved out. On our anniversary, God brought him home. Unfortunately, I was not ready for his return. I stopped praying the minute my husband walked through the door. Now, my husband has left again, but God in His infinite mercy has brought me back to Him. I am now more determined than ever to fight for my marriage and know that God always must be in first place. Our God is a God of second chances and this is my chance to turn to Him and completely surrender to His will.” (New Jersey)

"The court date to finalize our divorce was last week. The judge ordered mediation and re-scheduled the court date for August. The way it transpired was obviously God." (Texas)

"In Saturday’s Charlyne Cares I read a testimony about a Covenant Transport truck. I had never seen such a truck until I saw the picture on the testimony page. I had been feeling really low this morning because my wife backed out on going to a family event. On our way home, I cried out to God asking if this was going to end anytime soon. Then I saw a white rig in my rear view mirror which followed me for miles. About a mile before my exit, I heard, 'Here is your truck.' I laughed to myself. As I pulled onto my exit the truck went by and I saw the words 'Covenant Transport.' I cried and praised the Lord the rest of the way home." (Pennsylvania)

"At our first court appearance, the judge told us was that he could do nothing for us, because we had not finished our paperwork. I told the judge the reason I was there was to save my marriage and I believe it could be fully reconciled. Praise God for the chance to show my faith. I will trust the Lord to save this marriage and for my husband to seek the Lord wholeheartedly." (California)

"My divorce is supposed to be final within the next few weeks. I continue to pray for cancellation or postponement. On Memorial Day my husband went to our daughters for dinner and he admitted to her that he wished this had never happened. God is working I have no doubt." (Ohio)

“I fasted this past Sunday and prayed for God to perform a miracle. Last night I prayed fervently for a sign from my husband that our marriage would be restored. This morning, I received an email from him saying he wanted to file taxes jointly. He also said that I sounded much happier on the phone and that it made him happy. He also said that when he gets back in town from business he would like to get together and have coffee and talk. This is a huge step from the anger he has shown in the past. Praise the Lord.” (California)

"I have had no communication from my wife for many months. I was not expecting to hear from her this Christmas. Tonight I got home to find a packet on my hall floor. On the front was a label with my wife’s handwriting on. Inside was a Christmas present. I haven’t stopped praising God since I got home. My wife’s present is a beautiful and totally unexpected Christmas miracle. A wonderful beautiful amazing Christmas miracle from a wonderful beautiful amazing loving Heavenly Father. 'I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.'" Psalm 145:1. (United Kingdom)
