"My prodigal visited with our daughter for the holidays. They talked about his leaving. By the end, he asked if we could take pictures together as a family. It was a blessing to stand with him. I thank God for my miracle." (Delaware)
"My beloved is a prodigal son on his way back. There is much that God is doing in his life. When all this started happening I kept my mouth for praising God instead of fighting with my beloved. It is not easy, but He is giving me grace every day." (Malaysia)
"God lead me to your web site. Little did I know that He would use a key stroke of my finger to change my life. I believed I was a pretty good Christian, but I wasn't really living for God. But now through His grace and the rocking of my world, I am now so much closer and walking and talking to God, and now really know the power and grace of God. I pray that I may listen and do what God wants me to do. I know that the Lord is working in my wife’s life and in mine also." (Minnesota)
"When my prodigal comes to take his things, I offer some home grown fruits from the garden and he has taken the strawberries, tomatoes and passion fruit. I've just talked on phone with a lady, and witnessed that I'm standing, how God has and does heal marriages. She was open to receiving, so I feel blessed." (Australia)
"Sunday morning I was in prayer, complaining to God that I didn't know if this 'standing' was what I should be doing. I asked him for a sign to reassure me that I'm on the right path. I'm in the choir at church. We had no listing of songs, so none of the choir knew what was next. The third song we sang was 'Standing on the Promises of Christ My King.' I almost leaped for joy that my Father in Heaven would arrange such a confirmation for me to continue standing. I asked the Worship Leader and Choir Director how they chose the song. He said they both thought of it, but they didn't have a book with the song in it so they had to find one. I told him the song was chosen way before last week! (Virginia) (A PS from Pompano-This hymn is one of our favorites at Rejoice Pompano Monday nights.
"I asked for prayer for my dryer and lack of finances. God provided an unexpected bonus from work. I was given the opportunity to purchase an almost new dryer inexpensively from church friends. Thanks be to God for His provision for me and my children. He is my Provider." (Ohio)
"I praise the Lord for his continued work in my marriage. We have finally purchased our first house together. God was at work thru the entire process. Thank You God for my husband’s return and thank You Lord for providing us with our first home and with our children's happiness in all of this." (Oregon)
"On my way to church Sunday, I asked God to show me what He wanted me to do about my stand. Amazingly, our Bishop released an altar call for people who were standing for something to be restored. He made reference to someone standing for their marriage, and out of 40 or 50 people at the altar, he came over to me and laid hands on me and prayed. I go to a church of 10,000 people and my Bishop does not even know me personally. That was my word from God and I know I must keep standing." (Virginia)
“I have not heard from my spouse in years, although I send him cards from time to time. I asked God what my spouse's feelings were toward me. I awoke from a dream this morning. My spouse and I were embracing. I told him I loved him and that we would remarry some day. He said maybe. Praise the Lord, he didn't say no.” (South Carolina)
"Your ministry has encouraged me in so many ways with many of the 'Charlyne Cares' being very timely. Charlyne wrote a devotional about the fact that many times, even if there has not been another person involved, there will be one. This devotion came two days before I found out that there is indeed another person. Thank you for allowing yourselves to be used by the Lord to minister His words. What Charlyne wrote was just what I needed to hear to prepare me and I didn't even know it when I first read the devotion." (California)
“As much as I miss my spouse and want to be with him on Christmas Day, I want to share something God said to me in my spirit a couple of weeks ago. God said, “I want you for Christmas.” That's just it five simple words. As I pondered these words, my spirit leaped for joy, knowing that my Father wants to be with me. What a Christmas gift this is, I give Him all the glory.” (Canada)
"Yesterday I had a wonderful conversation with my spouse. We were able to talk without strife. God is moving in his heart. He asked me never to stop praying for him. He is still not home yet and is still with the other person, but I am believing that the Father will bring him home very shortly." (Nevada)
"Our 25th Anniversary was this past Monday. I was really struggling with Father's Day and all. I had this 'feeling' that I needed to get something silver but I couldn't ever pick anything. I was asking God to help. He spoke to me and encouraged me to celebrate my anniversary and reminded me that my commitment was to Him. Then He gave me the gift - a silver wedding band to wear with my original one. What a blessing." (Florida)
"Thank You God for everything You are doing in my life and the lives of our children. My husband asked his child if he was wanted back at home. He saw me at a ball game and said hello to me. I know God is in control." (Florida)
"After picking up my children from the airport as my prodigal was returning them from their spring break visit, my car broke down. Someone stopped and offered help. God watched over me and my children. We got our car towed and home safely. I am thankful that the Lord will complete the work He started." (Florida)
"I have been praying for God's help. I am out of a job and divorced. Today I came home and my prodigal was there waiting. He said that he noticed the cabinets and fridge were empty. He asked me to get ready and we went to the grocery store. There he asked me to shop for anything I needed and he paid for it. At the cashier a lady approached him and gave him a booklet about the consequences of our sins and Jesus. He took me to the gas station and paid for gas for my car. God is working." (Pennsylvania)
"Blessed is the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. My husband drove in from another state. He put our Christmas meal together, prayed over it and then served it to our guest. What a mighty God we serve. He spent half the day at our home. He put up the food and cleaned the kitchen. We exchanged gifts. I see the living Word of God moving and softening my husband’s heart. I am expecting him back home." (Florida)
"Although unemployed and bill paying is so uncertain, I had the nicest, most stress-free Christmas, focusing on the real meaning. Although difficult to do at times, I am stepping out not knowing how things will be taken care of, but trusting God will take care of my needs. Although my timing is not God's, He has not failed me." (Minnesota)
"Mother's Day was a blessing. My husband came to church and sat with me and my children. We then celebrated the rest of the day together as a family. I have prayed for this day to come for a long time. God answers prayers when we make Him Lord of our lives. He gets all the glory and praise." (Florida)
"I prayed for hope, feeling as if my husband was enjoying his single life too much. Last night he called me telling me how much he missed me and wanted to be with me. He is home and told me this. God and His timing are wonderful. Thank you for the work you do. God is working through the two of you in miraculous ways. I look forward to the devotionals every day." (Illinois)
"I met with my attorney today for the first time. My divorce hearing was scheduled soon, but the attorney is requesting the judge in the case be removed because he knows my husband. God is good." (Indiana)
"My husband and I are back together. The greatest part of our reunion is that I am now pregnant with our child, surely is a gift from God showing my husband that he is my covenant partner until death do as part. My husband is more loving and caring than ever." (India)
"My husband has been home for over a year. I still read your devotions every day for encouragement to stand in the gap for my husband. He ran away from his faith in God and I have watched him slowly returning. I have been praying that God would show my husband how to break a strong hold in his life. Praise God, I noticed the locked box that I felt contained this material was gone. This past week he went to a Godly man and confessed what had led to separation. He has met with this man three times. I know that God is working and I am so thankful that my husband is being receptive to God's voice." (South Carolina)
"My prodigal contacted me yesterday. I have not seen him in years. He came to quickly pick up his belongings, but ended up leaving next day. He is wanting to move and work for my Dad. He had been loaned the 'Fireproof' movie. I just praise the Lord. God is faithful." (South Africa)
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:18-19
"I have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. My prodigal wife is coming home to help me through my treatment, the first step to healing me and my marriage. (Pray for Jeff's healing.)" (Missouri)
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
"I had a desire to read the Bible this morning. Still half asleep, I had not yet decided what part of the Bible to study today. I opened my Bible and looked down. It was Deuteronomy 29. The heading, in my Bible, above this chapter read ‘Keep the Covenant.' Amazing, since this is a book in the Bible I rarely visit. God is so good to me. Little signs of encouragement like this are always being sent by Him. He is an awesome God." (Idaho)
"My prodigal has now been in touch with me every day for several weeks. He told me he misses me and our home and he knows I am praying. He also told me he loves me and he can not erase me from his life. He asked me to keep praying. I know through prayer, God's Word and constant confirmations that He will indeed have the last say." (United Kingdom)
"Just as our local power company took time to restore the power to our home after Hurricane Wilma, so did God take his time to restore my marriage. The power company needed to make sure that everything was fixed and all the connections were intact. Then they needed to make sure that other people around us were ready. They needed to make sure that everything was 100% before they threw that switch, so that the power did not just flicker and then go off again, but comes on and stays on for good. This is how God has restored my marriage to my wife. After being separated for two years, we are finally restored. God will restore your marriage. If you try to do it yourself, your restoration will only be a 'flicker.' Let God do it. He knows what He is doing and He will do it right so that your family's restoration brings permanent 'light' to your home." (Florida) (From a man who attends Rejoice Pompano.)
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." Psalm 43:5
"My prodigal attended Easter services with me and the children. He appeared touched by the service. When the pastor led the congregation in prayer just before the alter call, he asked, 'If you are a Christian that has lost that intimate relationship with Christ, raise your hand.' My husband’s hand went up. Praise the Lord. Thank You Lord for making him realize he needs that relationship with You."
"My husband moved out of the house. I then began praying more and fasting and studying more. At first I was just asking for our marriage to be restored, but through studying the Word of God, I came to see that my husband was blinded by the enemy and that I also needed to pray for his salvation. My husband called to say that he does not want a divorce. Praise God. I told him, with the help of the Holy Spirt, that I loved him and was praying for him. Thank you to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (Michigan)
"Thank you for praying for my daughter, her husband and their family, facing seemingly hopeless situations and discouraging circumstances. Praise the Lord and the power of prayer. God can and did remove and melt mountains like wax, and is still moving mightily. My son-in-law got the position he applied for and will no longer be working 12 hour night shifts; God removed him from the dangers of too much idle time amongst his co-workers, where marriage infidelity is prevalent. Their son is getting the help he needs, and my daughter may not leave her marriage, and lastly, unexpected monies are coming their way that they could really use. Praise God. What a testimony for my son-in-law who is not saved and my prodigal daughter. Prayer works." (California) (A PS from Pompano-This is only one of several parents we know who are standing in the gap for a prodigal child's marriage. If that is where you are, you are not alone)
"Last week my husband and I went on a cruise to celebrate the honeymoon we never had. My husband asked God to renew our vows. We never prayed together before. God is faithful. Many thanks to Bob and Charlene for Rejoice Marriage Ministries that gave me so much hope to follow God's way. The restoration is not over but the standing was so worth it." (Florida)
"Praise God, my prodigal husband is going to church and spending more time with me. He confessed that he made a mistake by divorcing me and wants to come home. He also confessed his sins in our marriage. I give God all the glory and praise for this huge turnaround. I will never doubt the power of God. He is faithful to His promises." (Arizona)
“God is continually providing for this family and getting us through difficult times in many areas. By continually trusting in Him and leaning on Him, we are defeating the Devil one step at a time and one day at a time.” (Canada)
My husband came home seven months ago. He was in a non-covenant relationship. God revealed to me that He would force him home. That’s just what happened when the other woman threw him out. God is still working on healing our marriage, but He has promised me that my husband is home to stay. I am believing that God will heal and make this marriage better that I can imagine. God does heal hurting marriages. I praise and thank him for all He has done, and is still doing." (California)

"Today, my supervisor told me my new pay raise will take effect next pay period (instead of next October). I give God all the praise and honor and glory. I was happy to receive the pay raise in October, but I know God knows what He is doing and I needed to have the extra pay. Praise God." (Florida)
"My husband left me and was set on divorce. God led me to tell my husband we could be friends as he had wanted. He then told me he still loved me very much and that God had touched him." (New York)
“Recently someone loaned me a book about healing hidden emotions. What the Lord revealed to me was incredible. It is my heart that matters and when God looks down on me, He is filled with such love and He is pleased with me. I am created to bring joy to the Lord and no one else. It is my prayer that when people see me they see my Lord shining through and that can only come from the heart. When my husband comes home he will love me through God's eyes just like I love my husband through God's eyes.” (New York)
"I divorced my husband. I am so thrilled that I have returned not only to my Father in Heaven, but also to my husband. I asked my husband if he would marry me again . Since he had been praying for me for as long as I was gone from him, I knew he would say yes. I could not fight off the power of prayer from him, our church congregation, and our friends any longer. I had come to the end of my ropes with my lifestyle and needed and wanted God to help me return to the Christian woman that I used to be. I asked His forgiveness and I know that it is now under the Blood of Jesus. I am so much happier than I have ever been in my life." (Virginia)
"My wife and I just had our first counseling session together. Good Friday I attended a worship service and then spent two hours in prayer. This is the first time that I have fasted on Good Friday. That afternoon I called my wife and we began to talk about the counseling. I had given her an Easter Card and when we finished the conversation, she thanked me for the card and said we'll have happier Easters in the future. Praise the Lord." (New Jersey)
“In the United Kingdom we don't have such things as Covenant Transport trucks, but on a recent trip on a motorway, I was encouraged to see a truck to my left that said 'Shepherd & Son' and the one to my right said 'We move mountains.' Praise God, He is so good. Recently my cat caught a bird and injured it, yet it was still able to fly. Alas its blood was splattered over the walls and blinds of my living room. I prayed for favour with the insurance company. They denied my claim. Ten minutes later my phone rang. They'd discussed the unusualness of this case amongst themselves and decided to pay. I now have a totally redecorated room plus new blinds. What an awesome God we serve.” (United Kingdom)
“Early on in my stand, when I was in such anguish, I asked the Lord to speak a word to me of what He wanted me to do. He told me to submit and wait. He also told me not to worry about money. That was two years ago. My husband has sent financial support every month without fail, and I have been able to stay home and continue to home school our children. God is good every day.” (Florida)
"We have been separated for years. We had gone to court and it was continued. My husband did not want to have to go back to court as it was horrible for both of us. We talked about settling out of court. Now we are talking reconciliation. We are dating and making more effort than ever to work things out. My husband has the softest heart now and I know that is from God." (Alabama)
"Praise the Lord, I received my daily devotionals, after one month without them. I thank God for this ministry, who encourages you to get closer and closer to our precious Lord, knowing He is our Helper, Redeemer, Provider, and Savior. I am confident of the Lord working inside my husband. God sent a wounded woman into my life. We live in different places. By phone, we prayed together. Thank You Lord for Your incredible love." (Mexico)
"Praise the Lord, there was enough of a crack in my husband's pride for him to tell me he moved out of the other woman's home and is living on his own. A few days later I learned he re- joined an organization in our community that he had abandoned when he left our home. The Lord is working on the other side of that mountain and He will be victorious." (Iowa)
“I've been divorced for 13 years and have been standing for four. My husband lives on the same block as I, and he has met another woman. As a result, he doesn't come around at all. This morning my husband called me to ask if he can take me to work. I was totally surprised. Five minutes before the call, I was in my room getting ready for work and I prayed to the Lord to. '...work in my husband today and bring him closer to You Lord.' Five minutes later, the phone rings and it was him. I give God all the glory. Step by step I can see the Lord is working behind the scenes and working in my husband's heart. Those who hope in the Lord will never ever be disappointed.” (New York)
