"Sunday morning I was in prayer, complaining to God that I didn't know if this 'standing' was what I should be doing. I asked him for a sign to reassure me that I'm on the right path. I'm in the choir at church. We had no listing of songs, so none of the choir knew what was next. The third song we sang was 'Standing on the Promises of Christ My King.' I almost leaped for joy that my Father in Heaven would arrange such a confirmation for me to continue standing. I asked the Worship Leader and Choir Director how they chose the song. "I had a desire to read the Bible this morning. Still half asleep, I had not yet decided what part of the Bible to study today. I opened my Bible and looked down. It was Deuteronomy 29. The heading, in my Bible, above this chapter read ‘Keep the Covenant.' Amazing, since this is a book in the Bible I rarely visit. God is so good to me. When the pastor led the congregation in prayer just before the alter call, he asked, 'If you are a Christian that has lost that intimate relationship with Christ, raise your hand.'
