My husband said ‘I Love You.’ It's been over a year since I last heard those words. The only one who gets credit for this is God. He delivered His promise, just like He said He would. (Virginia)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

"I have been privileged to have come across 'Charlyne Cares.' God has helped me to change and has brought me into a much closer relationship with Him. I had to learn to surrender to Him. My husband came to visit suddenly in January. The next weekend, he came to church for the first time in months and sought help. The following weekend he met with the pastor and came to church again. He had ended his relationship with the other woman and wants to get his relationship with God right and work on his relationship with me and our children. He told me that God would help us through it, and I know that He can. Thank you so much for your ministry and helping me to stand." (Tennessee)

"My daughter and myself were in the car. A semi-trailer pulled right across the front of the car. We were shaken but unhurt. My daughter phoned Mum and she came. The three of us sat in our wrecked car waiting for the police to arrive. My wife is the claims officer for the local solicitor's. My wife is now dealing with the claim. She invited me up to the office to talk over the claim. God arranged for the time to speak so that I would have no doubt that it was him. As I left the office, she smiled and winked at me. God is on the move. (United Kingdom)

"My husband and I are together again. God said to me through His Word and to my heart that He would do it, and now God has been faithful to me. My marriage is better than ever." (Barbados)

“Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.” Psalm 40:4-5

"Last week our teen-aged son had a tire blow out on a six lane highway. The car traveled across lanes of traffic and went up a large natural rock fell off the rock and came to rest in front of it. The traffic light up ahead was conveniently red, so no cars were coming toward him. According to witnesses, when his car drove up the rock, it should have turned over but came off level and caused minimal damage to the vehicle. Our son did not have a scratch on him. When we got in the car, I found a piece of the rock near the console. We give God the glory for it all." (Tennessee)

"This was going to be a humdinger of a week. On Monday I celebrated our anniversary with a dear restored couple who stand with me. On Friday, my husband was going to divorce me. On Tuesday I started a liquid fast. On Thursday my lawyer called and said my husband had reneged." (Illinois)

"They will be mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not." Malachi 3:17-18

"I thank the Lord for leading me to you. I was the prodigal and now I am the stander. My prodigal and I have been communicating on a better level and he has been calling me every day to speak to me and our son. He has said that he still cares for me. I know it is God working in his life. I am believing God for complete restoration." (East Africa)

"I was told my wife was marrying the other guy. God blessed me and comforted me through His Word many times in the past four days. He confirmed something big is coming. I pray He will put an end to this proposed legalized adultery." (California)

"What a God we serve. Our entire family was together for Christmas for the first time in years. I could see that my spouse was very happy to be with our family again. He purchased gifts for everyone, including me. He has not done this in years. What a beautiful peace God gave all of us that day. He has removed many walls that have existed between our family. My husband hugged me when he came in and before he left. A family member said she believes that something is different about him. God is amazing." (Texas)

"I was scheduled to meet my husband and asked God to give me a sign if it was His will to restore our marriage. Before leaving, my husband told me he would go to counseling and hugged my neck. This is a huge change. I know my God is at work." (Georgia)

“My husband came back to me one year ago. He is a Christian now and is completely transformed. This is what I prayed over him while he was away. I had a cross that reminded me to pray for my husband; sometimes two or three times a day.” (Texas)

"Yesterday my prodigal told me he is trying to make things right and make his way home where he knows he belongs. God has been dealing with him. He says that I am the only one he can talk to. He calls it chemistry, but I call it one-flesh. I know this isn't the end; it is the next step of standing. I will keep praying, fasting and trusting God to rebuild our relationship His way and for my husband's salvation. Thank You God, for never letting me give up." (New York)

"I moved out of state but my 20 year old daughter decided to stay in our home state. To my dismay, she found an older man who would rent a room to her. I prayed about it, and felt no peace. I continued to pray, and ask God to protect my daughter and not allow her to move in if there was something wrong. My daughter called me the night before she was to move in, and told me that the man had been arrested and she would not be moving in. I am so thankful to God for answering my prayer. I believe if God can do this kind of miracle, He is capable of anything. I now wonder what would have happened if I didn't pray about this situation. God has taught me a huge lesson on prayer and the importance of asking Him. My prodigal is just beside himself, that he actually met the man and thought this was an okay situation, and is baffled on how God gave me such discernment. God is awesome." (Oklahoma)

"God has brought me to the realization that I started standing for selfish reasons; my own happiness. He's recently brought me to the realization that it should not be about me at all. My wife does not know the Lord as her Savior. If it is His will that I stand and pray for her salvation for the rest of my life, it is much less of a sacrifice than He gave for me. I give my wife the unconditional love and prayers of a husband who will never give her up to the pit." (Pennsylvania)

“My prodigal husband called me yesterday morning to ask me to make a doctor’s appointment for him. He has not taken a sick day in ten years, so I knew it was bad. I took a sick day and met him at the doctor's office without telling him. He ended up coming back to our house and slept there for the first time in one year. Praise God. He just said last week he didn't want to spend time there and give the kids a false hope. It seems the closer he gets to home the harder it is to wait.” (Michigan)

"I prayed for a year for a my husband to be removed from of the ungodly influences at his job. God has removed him. Praise God." (Idaho)

"Our children had a Vacation Bible School program. My covenant husband made plans to pick me up and go together. The other person insisted that she wanted to go. He called that he would see me there. I praise God that He gave me the strength to walk into that church alone, knowing that He was with me. My husband and the other person sat right behind me. He talked not to her but me. I thank God that He sustained me and I was able to see my children lift their voice in praise to our Lord. God truly does give peace, strength and joy." (Illinois)

"Yesterday i was talking to a friend and I asked "What has happened to my marriage?" Charlynes message today, (by that same title) assures me that God listens to us and gives us answers. Praise the Lord." (United Kingdom)

My husband has become a better father since leaving. He now makes time for our children and he does more than he did when he was home. What the Devil meant for bad, the Lord has made for good. It is the time apart that God has made transformations in the both of us. (California)

"God has shown me, in many ways, how amazing His love is for me, in so many ways. I am in love with my Jesus. I pray for prodigals around the world that God will breathe into their hearts for His glory." (Australia)

"My wife and I have been separated since February. She stops by and tells me about a dream she had. Then she mentions that we can always get remarried, (our court date is August 5). To top it off, the paper she gave me was signed and notarized and has her lip prints on it. The Holy Spirit is really working in her life, trying to open her eyes and ears, and bring her home. Thank You Lord for working in both of our lives to bring us closer to you, and closer to each other, so that when she does come home, we will rebuild or marriage on the solid rock of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." (Florida)

"God has moved tremendously. My husband and I spent time with our pastor. Divorce is no longer an option and instead of making any decisions, my husband is focusing on his relationship with God. We talk more and my husband makes an effort every weekend to see our son. He is kinder, more affectionate and caring." (Florida)

“I got my mother-in-law’s Christmas gift to her at work. She introduced me to her co-workers as her daughter-in-law. My father-in-law hugged me and said he loved me. The Lord placed on my heart that my husband was thinking of me even though I haven't heard from him. There was just something different about this year. (North Carolina)

"Minutes into last Sunday's Rejoice conference call, I received a call from my father-in-law calling on our home phone. He had dialed my husband's cell. I also spoke to my mother-in-law. This is a huge gift. They have never called. I will never stop praying." (Oregon)

"My prodigal came home, praise God, but not in time for me to witness to a dying aunt. We were on the way to see her one last time. We arrived and the minister that married my prodigal and I was there. He stated that my aunt had just prayed to receive Christ. She passed away this morning in the arms of a forgiving Lord. Praise God for a homecoming and salvation." (Georgia)

"I invited my husband to have lunch with me. He canceled. I was discouraged and started reading Judges 13-16. After a couple of hours my husband called me to have a late lunch. It turned out to be great, praise the Lord. May He keep talking to my prodigal to turn to Him. God is working on the other side of the mountain." (Florida)

"At the end of 'Charlyne Cares devotional' were Bob's, 'Top Ten Signs That You Are Standing Strong.' I have heard all but the one about the singles group, and that's because our church doesn't have one. Praise the Lord, I am where He wants me to be. There is much joy in being obedient." (Pennsylvania)

"While getting ready for work, I was praying and listening to Christian music. I prayed that God would give me a rhema word. I picked up my Bible to read and it opened up to Ruth, chapter one. Underlined were the words I recited during our marriage. "Intreat me not to leave thee..." Praise the Lord." (Arkansas)

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:15-16

"I'm thanking God for a much needed three day spiritual retreat He provided during our tropical storm. I got depressing news about my prodigal and felt hopeless after standing with no communication. My prayer partner and I prayed for the other woman's marriage to be restored. I forgive again by God's grace. The next day your 'Forgive Them' license plate arrived. I put it above my mirror. Then Sunday the pastor reminded us that God does 'whatever it takes' to bring us back." (Florida)

“I've been confused by others saying, 'God spoke to me.' I didn't understand. Last week, while reading my Bible in Romans 16:19-20, the words seemed to illuminate before my eyes. I have been rejoicing ever since. I know God has spoken to me. On Friday my husband came to the house to bring me money. This was the first time we've seen each other since he left months ago. When he was ready to leave we hugged. Praise the Lord Jesus, that He has begun His work in my marriage.” (New York)

"I was having problems with my vehicle so I called my husband for help and we talked for almost an hour. This is the longest conversation I have had with him in years. A bulk of our conversation was about Jesus and living a biblical lifestyle. I have prayed Christian men into his life and God delivered in an unexpected way. He is working with a Christian. Unfortunately the man is a hypocrite. God used me to answer my husband’s questions about the man’s lifestyle. I am grateful to God for opening doors for me to speak to my husband about who Jesus really is and His love for us." (Pennsylvania)

"Since my husband left months ago, he has been cold, bitter and indifferent. My husband's attitude changed suddenly. He even suggested not getting divorced but to remain separated instead. Later he told me that he decided that he wants a normal relationship with me. I thank the Lord for hearing my prayers. Only He can change a man's heart of stone." (Netherlands)

“We have been separated since February. I have braced for divorce papers to be served all year, but she never visited the lawyer because funds were so tight. Yesterday, I received an invitation to her family cabin for Christmas. I in turn hold onto Psalm 27:14; “Wait for the Lord. Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.'” (Wisconsin)

"I was never brave enough to tell anyone about my stand. Sunday my prodigal and I met to talk about our relationship. I told him about the stand I was taking. He agreed to move in with a relative, instead of the other woman. I know God is working to bring him home." (Oklahoma)

"My husband went to church with us Easter morning. I nearly came unglued when he called and said he 'guessed' he would come. I hung up and did a very happy dance to my Lord."

"One of my prayer requests is that we worship the Lord together as a family. My daughter was visiting churches and ended up at mine. I didn't even know she was there. God put my daughter next to the retired pastor's wife, who said God put my daughter on her heart. I got to share my stand for my family and marriage to the pastor, his wife and my daughter. This wonderful lady offered to mentor my daughter, who has found her church home. I praise God because I now have someone to go to church with and am no longer alone. Thank You Lord." (New York)

"This morning I woke up and felt a little overwhelmed thinking about the bills, food and gas until payday next week. My husband brought a lot of groceries and gave me bill and gas money. To God be the glory." (New Jersey)

"I was able to pick my husband up from the airport last night. He has been with us for Christmas each year since the beginning of my stand, but this year an airline strike and bad weather in Europe threatened that. I told him we prayed as a family and the next day a judge blocked the strike until January. I am thankful for others praying this month that spouses make it home where they belong." (Illinois)

"My anniversary came. I was walking out of church and thinking of the importance of the day. When I looked across the street, I noticed a Covenant Transport truck passing by. That was my confirmation that God was thinking of the covenant that my husband and I once made." (California)

"Praise God for the hedge of protection. My youngest daughter was on a long distance trip and started having car problems. She was able to get to her destination without being stranded. The next day, my oldest daughter was in an accident. Although her car is a mess, she was not hurt badly. Thank You God." (Florida)

“I wrote in the past about my wife and I being separated and then planning for divorce. By God's grace, we have reconciled. I moved back in our home in early December, just before our anniversary. We had a re-commitment ceremony at our church on Saturday and are now on our second honeymoon.” (South Carolina)

"My court date came and the Lord allowed the only available seat in the courtroom to be next to my prodigal husband. We walked out of court together, a first. The judge awarded him divorce without my signature. Even though he was granted his desire the Lord gave me peace and I am still standing for our marriage." (California)

"My husband told his new wife that he is filing for a divorce. Last night he again asked (me) for forgiveness and even though he isn't talking about reconciliation for us at this time, I know that in God's time it will happen. We both still have work to do." (Texas)

"The non-covenant called and offered to help me bring closure. God gave me the boldness to tell her that I stand for the restoration of my marriage. She wasn't too happy. I am thankful that God gave me an opportunity to tell her about my stand. Glory to God." (Delaware)

"My husband has returned. I trusted in the Lord and the Lord was true to His word. For the first time in my life I learned the Lord was my everything and I learned to trust Him." (California)

“A very special thank you to Bob for his touching story in his Valentine's Day Extra, but most especially for his, 'Happy Valentine's Day, on behalf of your prodigal spouse. The person for whom you stand may not be able to say that right now, but I can promise, as a returned prodigal spouse, that you are on their heart today. Remember, God's timing is always perfect.' That meant the world to me as I struggle through one more lonely Valentine's Day. I thank God often for sending me to your website. But, today, I am thanking Him a little extra for letting me hear from you, the words He says to me often, 'He still loves you and thinks about you.' There is not physical evidence that these words are true, but I believe in my heart that they are. Today you gave me the little boost I really needed to make it through one of the toughest holidays. I am sure many other lonely people were benefitted, but I know I was on God's mind when He prompted you to tell that story, and I am praising Him for sending me a message of love this Valentine's Day.” (California)
