“Praise God my prodigal spouse came to church yesterday before going to lunch with our children. That is the first time he has went out to eat with our daughter since leaving home. We see God moving in different ways.” (Oklahoma)

"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you-majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them." Exodus 15:11-12

"But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever. I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints." Psalm 52:8-9

"Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy...But I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice."  Psalm 55:1-3,16-17

"My wife is beginning to turn after many years. We are dating and going on a vacation together for the first time in years. Thank You Jesus for keeping me focused on restoration and releasing myself and her to You." (Iowa)

“I was feeling down. I closed my eyes and lifted my hand in the air and silently asked God,'I need to feel You hold my hand. Please hold my hand, I need to know You're there.' That night, Charlyne's devotional came and a verse included was Isaiah 42:6 'I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles.' I'm a baby Christian, so needless to say this really blew me away. I praise God that he uses your Ministry to talk to people like me and help me to grow in Him.” (Texas)

"My son and daughter-in-law asked me for Thanksgiving dinner. My son called back and said that he forgot to tell me that he had asked 'Dad' to join us. My husband was there on Thanksgiving along with the rest of the family. It was beautiful. My husband asked me to pray before we ate. What a God we serve. This is the first time in years that we have all been together. God is repairing more than our marriage. He is working on the relationship between my son and his father. (Texas)

"The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires." Romans 6:10-12

"After years of no contact my husband and I have been talking frequently. Although our phone calls are information for divorce proceedings, our conversations get a little deeper each time and I am sensing compassion in my husband’s heart. I got to see him and his family and I was able to apologize and seek forgiveness from them all. I was able to embrace my husband and he returned the hug. It is amazing to see God use the information needed for a divorce to bring us to a point of conversation. Praise God for His mighty work." (Pennsylvania)

"Our God is awesome. My friend at work was recently diagnosed with a malignant lump. She was frightened. I shared all my beliefs with her of our mighty awesome God whois able to cure everything. I gave her your 'Be Healed' book and encouraged her to believe. Today all her tests have come back negative. Our God lives." (South Africa)

"After ball practice my husband said he would take our daughter to get her new equipment. We were in two vehicles and our daughter decided to ride with her daddy. I got behind when we were leaving practice and my prodigal had pulled over on the side of the road to wait for me. I was smiling in my heart to know God had laid it on his heart to wait for me. Thank You, Lord." (Tennessee)

I kept wondering why others are receiving signs. I asked God to forgive my selfishness, but would love some sign that I'm following Him by standing. My prodigal called today, wanting to borrow money/ Remembering unconditional love, I agreed. On the way to meet him, I passed a Covenant Transport truck. I was praying all the way there. I know God is changing me, and now I know He's working on my prodigal. I am called by God to stand. I got to tell my prodigal how much he's loved and he's welcome home at any time. In God's perfect timing, I know my prodigal will come home. God is so good. He truly is always there for us. (Indiana)   You can read about what these trucks mean to some standers by visiting - https://rejoiceministries.org/covenant_transport.php

"God is touching my husband's hardened heart. After leaving and never asking if I needed a repair to our home, I asked if he could please help with something that needed to be repaired and when he dropped our daughter off after visitation he made the repair. He also told me he is back on his medication. He is listening." (Pennsylvania)

"For months I had not heard anything from my husband after his abandonment of us. My miracle is coming home soon. He is clean from drugs, alcohol and more through the miraculous deliverance of my Father in Heaven. I give Him all the praise and I have told everyone to prove my God can do anything." (South Carolina)

"Praise the Lord. I am standing in the gap for my marriage. My hope was rocked, but I decided to trust my Lord. Today my wife called and she needed help. I had asked God earlier to open communication." (Connecticut)

"Since this summer there has been increasing contact with my wife. On the weekend she phoned to wish me 'Happy Birthday,' for the first time in years. Praise God, He is moving in our lives." (United Kingdom)

"I offer my praise and thanks to God. My husband is pursuing a divorce, but he surprised me with a request that showed me that he is also testing the waters to see if he is still welcome in our home. (I happily said yes to his request.) I don't pretend to know God's timing for us, but I thank Him and praise Him for this glimpse into the work He is doing on the other side of our mountain." (Washington)

"A dear friend who is standing by me prayed I hear from my husband soon. He emailed me the very next day. He expressed interest in my career goals and shared his own with me. God confirmed my husband is thinking of us and missing us. God continues to amaze me with His faithfulness." (Colorado)

"My husband called to let me know that he broke up with the girl and moved out and is getting his own place. Praise the Lord." (Florida)

"I attended one of your meetings where I was able to pray for my spouse along with others who are believing for the return of their spouses. My spouse returned this Thanksgiving, free from all bitterness and a new sense of peace after they surrendered their life to Jesus. It is truly a miracle. I prayed that God would do what ever was needed to bring my spouse back home while at the same time protecting them from permanent harm. That is exactly what happened. Through a set of circumstances, God finally got my spouse’s attention and led them back to God and then to the family." (North Carolina)

Late each day 'Charlyne Cares' is sent to the mail list company for overnight distribution when servers are not as busy. We forget that while we are sleeping, and thousands of email devotionals are going out, others are starting their day, like this subscriber. "I sometimes have to wait for your daily message to arrive. I do not like to leave home without it, but I have a few moments at school to log in before the children come in and then I can start with your message in my mind. Although we have never met, you have become my best friend. My husband is back and we are on the road back. Only God knows what has happened through your ministry." (United Kingdom)

"My husband called me and told me that his girlfriend is not moving in with him and that he is concentrating on himself right now. I thanked God." (Florida)

"My husband drove all night to see me. He asked if I would take him back. He saw profound changes in me and wants to reunite. We spent over a week together, talked a lot, cried a lot and forgave a lot. God is good." (Canada)

"I am in the middle of remodeling our kitchen. My wife will be returning later this month. I have a history of back injuries. This morning I was lifting a heavy box when an all too familiar pain shot through my back. After getting a heat wrap on my back I sat down at my computer there was the email from Rejoice Ministries, 'Our God Heals.' I read the scripture, Proverbs 3:5-8, in the first person using my name and claimed healing. Praise God, I began feeling relief in my back and will be able to continue working on the kitchen remodeling. (Washington)

“I reported that I sent apology letters to my in-laws on talking negatively about my husband. Today in the mail, I received a lovely card from my father-in-law thanking me for the letter. They are praying for the restoration of our marriage, praise God. Thank You Lord.” (California)

"Today is my birthday. This morning, my spouse wished me a Happy Birthday and gave me a card. I was not expecting this at all. This was just enough to brighten an otherwise sad day, and to give me that extra burst of encouragement. I give God the glory and praise for this very small step." (Missouri)

"I sought the Lord and He heard my cries. My husband returned to our family after being gone for months and living with the other woman. I give all the praise and glory to Jesus who does answer prayer." (Texas)

"My husband and I really have not had much communication in months. Last weekend he came by for our boys and told me I looked nice. He asked my son how I was doing. Praise God." (New Mexico)

"I have been standing for many months and my husband came home this week. There had been no sign of his return. God revealed Himself through answered prayers in a mighty way. My husband came home out of obligation more than love, just as God prepared me. The road ahead will be long as my husband mourns the break- up with the other woman but things are going exactly as God showed me they would. I know He is in control. We serve an awesome God." (Illinois)

“My husband came home last night. He needed a place to stay. He told me this morning that he will be moving hours away. He insists that he is not coming home. But I believe in my Lord and the promise of restoration. I praise God for this and all He will be doing in my marriage restoration.” (California)

"After years of standing for my prodigal spouse, my husband has finally come home, suddenly and out of obedience. I have subscribed to Charlyne Cares for the past few years, and I seriously doubt that I would have been able to stand in the manner I did without the tremendous support, wisdom and encouragement from Bob, Charlyne, and the other devotional writers. Thank you for cheering me along this path towards obedience, trust and hope in our Lord, Jesus Christ." (Missouri)

"Today, my supervisor told me my new pay raise will take effect next pay period (instead of next October). I give God all the praise and honor and glory. I was happy to receive the pay raise in October, but I know God knows what He is doing and I needed to have the extra pay. Praise God." (Florida)

"As I sought God's will if I should invite my prodigal husband to Christmas Eve, I sought guidance from my sister-in-law. As she sought God’s will for me, she got an immediate answer that kindness is never out of fashion, so I invited him. My husband accepted, drove hours to and from my home to be with me and our children and grandson. We went to church, he kissed me publicly and we had a wonderful family time. God's will and timing is perfect." (Ohio)

"In my husband's Bible (He took another one with him) I reread Proverbs 31. A long time ago my husband wrote my name in two places in this Proverb. As I read those two verses God emphasized 'the heart of my husband safely trusts in me, so he will have no lack of gain.' Proverbs 31:11. But the best one was this: "Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all." (verse 29) The Lord showed me I will be the one who has great favor in my husband's eyes over all others." (Florida)

"We were scheduled for an earlier divorce hearing. I asked the Lord to grant a postponement as a sign He was going to stop the divorce. The postponement was granted and a new hearing date was scheduled for today. Praise God, two days ago this hearing was cancelled by my wife. I am praying that the Lord will restore our marriage before another hearing date. Praise the Lord." (Wyoming)

"Thank You, Lord, for the miracle You gave to my family. My husband has been taking steps toward home and moved his remaining things home last weekend. He had even filed for divorce, but never followed through. He told me the Holy Spirit never stopped speaking to his heart and that he loves me and is so grateful for me never giving up on him. Thank you for the tapes that would suddenly appear in my mailbox at the most needed time. Praise Jesus." (New Hampshire)

“Two weeks ago I was on a low. On my way to work I asked the Lord to show me something specific, seeing there are no Covenant Transport Trucks in South Africa. I am so grateful because I needed to know that I was doing what my Lord wants. On the day of our final court date the Lord showed me a board at a building site opposite my place of work - 'Covenant Civil Contractors.' The divorce did not go through.” (South Africa- different person)

"God works in marvelous ways. I was given some news at work that will affect many people's job security. I was in shock and my heart was in pain to think of all these people who would be left without a job. As I got home and opened your devotional, God spoke to me words of consolation, Charlyne's devotional was Psalm 91. God spoke to me directly and peace returned to my heart. Praise God." (Florida)

"My husband called and is on his way home. Praise God. God did not bring me this far to leave me for dead." (Colorado)

"Praise God, my husband stopped the court case that he filed against me. He wanted a lot of money from me for settlement of property. He was angry with me when he left. This is the first miracle that I have seen. My husband and his lawyer have been on my back for nearly a year. Now it has all stopped, God is at work, I wonder what He will do next?" (New Zealand)

"He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." Psalm 91:15

"Praise God my daughter is now saved. I have been praying for her along with my other children. We were talking a few days ago about my stand and my walk with the Lord and she was asking questions. Now she knows the One who can help her through all of her trials. I know He is faithful." (Florida)

"My prodigal had an appointment with my pastor. Praise the Lord that my pastor shared not his opinion, but the Word of God with my husband." (Texas)

"Thank You, Lord for delivering my husband out of the miry clay. We are spending time watching TV and having dinner together. God is rebuilding our marriage on the solid rock of Jesus Christ." (Singapore)

"When my husband left he was cursing God and said he would never put foot in a church again. After the divorce he stopped all communication with me. Last month he called me suddenly and told me God's been working on his heart and he's going to church again." (New Jersey)

"It has been a year since my husband confessed to a pornography addiction which led to immorality. I was more afraid to live than to die. God led us to many resources; counseling, a support group for sexual sin, Bible studies, and daily email from Charlyne. I needed it all, but mostly I needed God's Word ingrained in me. My husband and I are together and God is working a mighty miracle in our marriage, above and beyond what I could ask or think." (North Carolina)

"Months after my husband filed for divorce and with zero contact, I felt that God was telling me to email him to tell him I loved him and asked for forgiveness, even though he is the one that left me. He had blocked all my phone calls, texts and emails. To my surprise this time he emailed back that he forgave me. I have not heard anything from him since, but I know that God is working on my husband’s heart." (Georgia)

“All of a sudden my car started experiencing problems with steering and indicators lit up my dashboard. I called my husband to tell him that I was having car trouble. He was in the parking lot of the drugstore where I pulled in. God is at work." (New York)

"After divorce and remarriage and then a divorce from the other person my father is now back with the Lord and ministering in church again. He and my mother have been dating and working toward restoration for over 2 years. On Christmas Eve (2002) he proposed to her on bended knee and they are planning a June wedding on the date of their first wedding anniversary. My prodigal husband is astounded. He never believed that my Daddy would come home." (Indiana)
