“I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them. I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots.” Hosea 14:4-5
Do you believe in the promises of God? I do! I was given the scripture above in Hosea many years ago before Bob returned home. Believe in the promises of God for you, your spouse and your marriage this Lord’s Day. Don’t give up due to your circumstances. Satan is trying to deceive, discourage and distract you from God’s perfect plan and purpose in your life. Nothing is too hard for your Lord God. Seek His face when you are hurting and when everything around you seems impossible.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
You must believe in God’s Holy Word. You must believe that God is working in your life and through your circumstances for you to have a testimony that will bring glory and honor to Him. Sometimes we have to go through fires to be purified, to be more like our Lord Jesus.
Don’t throw in the towel!
Don’t allow the enemy to push your buttons, but rise up with holy indignation that you will be like David with the giant, Goliath.
Don’t give up when your spouse is saying over and over again that they will never come back home and they do not love you.
What does your Lord say to you? Hold on! Believe in God. Believe in His mighty power and stand on the promises in God’s Word.
David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.” Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been a fighting man from his youth.” But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.” 1 Samuel 17:32-37
You know the end of the story, David killed the giant. The Lord is going to slay that giant that is destroying your marriage and your family. You just need to be like David and be ready to fight the enemy. Do not allow fear to overtake you like the Israelite army did. David believed in His God to handle the most difficult situation, even a giant!
When you hear of someone who is having marriage problems, don’t you feel like you would love to talk to them and share the good news that the Lord can heal their marriage? That is why we encourage you to be ready for the Lord’s timing to share with others what the Lord has revealed to you in God’s Word, that “God Heals Hurting and Dead Marriages.”
This Lord’s Day you and I need to pray for all prodigal spouses and rebellious children of every age to repent and turn their lives over to the Lord Jesus Christ. As we read throughout the Bible, there is power in prayer. We see that power in the book of Acts when the disciples prayed in unity. Peter gave a sermon at Pentecost declaring that Jesus Christ was both Lord and Christ, crucified, resurrected and exalted.
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call.” With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. Acts 2:36-41
This Sunday pray for all the men of God to proclaim the Gospel in every church or Bible study. May thousands of hardened hearts and lives be touched and transformed because prodigals’ hearts, eyes and ears were opened this Lord’s Day. Praise the Lord!
May you and I believe that thousands of prodigal husbands, wives and rebellious children will take the first steps in returning home by listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit’s wooing. May the Holy Spirit speak loudly to them to “Repent and save yourself from this corrupt generation.”
I pray that you will memorizeActs 2:39; “The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call.” What a promise! Pray it daily and believe it in your heart.
“And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Acts 2:21
