What should you do when your spouse come and visits at your house and you start to become intimate? We are frequently asked by standers about sexual issues. Bob and Charlyne talked together about this very popular subject and will show you God’s Word about the very important subject. You then can know in advance how you will respond to your beloved spouse when they start testing the waters or return home.

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.  Psalm 31:19

“PTL! I cannot summarize the amazing testimony God is creating through my stand! My husband told me again he wanted a divorce and NOTHING would change that so I could file soon or he would. I zipped my lips and continued to pray, praise and fast fervently. He visited two weeks later and I had no idea what to expect. He said he is firing his lawyer and we will rebuild slowly! Earlier on God told me ‘There will be no divorce’ and ‘You won’t need a lawyer,’ amongst MANY other great promises. It’s amazing to give Him the glory as His Words manifest against all odds. He makes a way where there is no way and does immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine. My husband is committed out of conviction/for the kids and isn’t loving towards me yet, but God said, ‘Take him back in any condition as it’s HIS work to do!’ We have a long road, but this is our ‘suddenly!’ Praise God from whom all blessings flow. We’re making future plans and I continue to pray his heart softens and he repents and draws close to God for healing.”  (North Dakota)

“Now therefore, stand and see this great thing which the Lord will do before your eyes:”  1 Samuel 12:16 (NKJV)

“Lately, I have been feeling like giving up on my stand. Last weekend my beloved, who lives in another state, asked me to pick him up to spend the weekend with us. At first I was reluctant because although we see him more often, things don’t seem to change. I went to get him and we took the kids to the beach and had an awesome weekend together. My Lord reminded me that this weekend would not have happened just a few short months ago. Although we are taking small steps, and I waiver in moving on, I will continue to trust and believe that He is working it all out for our good. Your testimonies keep me going. Be blessed and encouraged and I will continue to pray for all of our marriages. PTL”  (South Carolina)

“I have been standing for my in-home prodigal for some time. With almost no interaction, it is almost debilitating. But God has brought three amazing people in my life that have made my stand possible. Although I see absolutely no way this marriage could be restored, my prayer partners have had their own trials and remind me that God wants to restore my marriage and my family. Although there is an OW, my faith has to hold tight to the promises and confirmations God has given to me and my prayer partners. I pray my suddenly is soon and ALL the glory will go to God because no one has been able to open the eyes of my prodigal – this will be ALL God and ONLY God! My heart aches for my teenage kids, but I believe God will heal all our broken hearts. I am excited for the app from RMM so we can all hold each other up in our time of need. God bless my brothers and sisters in Christ! May God show Himself strong in all of our marriages!”  (Minnesota)

“‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.’”  Jeremiah 32:17 (NKJV)

“Victory is ours; don’t let go of that. I made a trip to Elevation Church which is seven hours away from me. They had an awesome series called, Seven Mile Miracle. During the drive back my sons and I were praying for a Covenant Transport truck and just like our God, there it was. I made the observation that every time I’ve seen one, it was always on the other side of the road. So my sons and I pondered on that thought, then a small voice whispered, ‘I’m on the other side working on your marriage.’ So then at the blink of an eye I hear one son say, ‘Well what’s it mean if we see one on our side of the road?’ Before I could begin to think my son replies, ‘God is telling us He is with us.’ That was rewarded with a fist bump. What’s next blew my mind. We were coming to the end of a long mountain tunnel and as we were about to exit we began to pass a Covenant Transport truck on our side! We were coming out of the mountain with God! What a sign.”  (Ohio)

“I have missed so many opportunities to write how God has been faithful. Mine is an in-house prodigal who appears fully committed to the OW who lives overseas. It hurts so much to see the person you live with being overly committed to someone miles and miles away whom he doesn’t see, feel or touch, more than he is committed to you. But God has been so faithful in so many inexplicable ways, by defeating my spouse’s many plans to visit the OW. This has caused so much emotional instability in him and he is so up and down in his response to me. I should admit it has been hard not to respond in flesh many times… but folks, we serve a mighty loving God. I have seen Him fight my battles even in my weakness. 1 Chronicles 20. All this suffering is for a good cause…. for the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20. Let’s soldier on.”  (Australia)

“I want to give honor and glory to the Lord! When my prodigal left after I divorced him, he was bitter and did not want to pay for any of his responsibilities mandated by the court. I was happy that he was gone. But after a year of being divorced, God put in my heart that I should stand for my marriage. Two weeks after God moved my heart, He moved in with OW. I was devastated but continued with my stand. I have many ups and downs through my stand but the Lord has shown the path to follow. Little by little with answered and not-yet-answered prayers, my faith has been reinforced in the Lord. He has changed me and my prodigal’s heart. My prodigal has come to me for help and has been helping me financially after he has seen my financial struggles due to many illnesses and inability to have a substantial job. I have faith in the Lord that He will restore my marriage, my health and my finances. PTL.”  (Florida)

“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.”  Joel 2:25-26 (ESV)

“After many false starts and another girlfriend, I felt like throwing in the towel.  But I said to God, ‘ You are the only true God and I will hold on to Your promises for they are Yes and Amen.’ My husband has been visiting home. This past weekend we watched a match together. This God is so amazing. He slept over and I didn’t even question him. Every day I plead the blood of Jesus over our marriage for total restoration, peace, everlasting joy, communication. God is at work. Hold on Saints.”  (South Africa)

“I have a small but amazing testimony. This past week the Lord has shown His hand at work in my in-home prodigal’s heart and in our situation. These past couple of days have been pretty hard. I have been spiritually, emotionally and mentally attacked. But I have managed to call on God and ask for grace, mercy and peace. Well this evening as I was waiting in my car to enter the International House of Prayer, my husband called. He started talking about his plans for himself and how he’s looking forward to his new life that he’s trying to live despite all the setbacks (God’s divine intervention). I kept my lips zipped and just listened. But then, out of all the darkness that my husband spoke, God shined a bit of His glorious light. My husband actually admitted that he said a little prayer last night before he went to bed! My husband doesn’t pray at all! This is my ‘small cloud’ that I’ve been praying for! My husband’s salvation is on its way! Praise God!”  (Georgia)

The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’” Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.  1 Kings 18:44-45

“This past weekend, I was so discouraged to the point where I just couldn’t shake it off. Reflecting on my husband’s free-will decisions caused me to rationalize my reason to move on. My husband heartlessly shares that he knows God is talking to him, and admits he doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions. That evening, I prayed/cried, and asked God, because my husband free-willingly refuses to obey Him…release me from this assignment, give me the grace to accept/respect his decision, and peacefully move on with my own life. At church the next day, a church member encouraged me to not give up, and to keep standing. To strengthen me even more, our guest speaker’s sermon was entitled, ‘God Said, I’m Worth Waiting For!’ Then he prophesied, ‘If we just wait on God, He will make it worth our wait!’ Brothers/sisters, if we just keep waiting on God, don’t make any moves, our waiting will be worth it, and will not be in vain!”  (Tennessee)

Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.  Psalm 27:14 (NLT)

“I am not restored yet, but I feel like I need to encourage all of the standers. You know you are supposed to stand. You know what God has promised and spoken to you. I knew too, and I tried so desperately to ignore it. God won’t let you ignore His call for your life, and He won’t let you run forever. His plans will always come to pass. I tried to move on to a new man, and the Lord spoke so clearly to my heart about my marriage vows, covenant, and all of the promises and signs He’s already given me. Standers, press into God even deeper this season. Our suddenly is coming soon! I know it with all of my heart now. We are in this together and God is fighting for us! Exodus 14:14 is the promise God has given me for years concerning my husband, even before we were married. He told me I would marry this man. Luke 1:45 has been my second promise since my stand. Start listening to God and stop listening to the world.”  (Arizona)

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”  Exodus 14:14

“Thanks to all the standers who have taken time to share their testimonies. Since finding RMM several months ago I have read every Restored Marriage Testimony going back to 2004. I crave the Lunch Break and Saturday testimonies. I actually ration out my reading of the testimonies so I can have leftovers to consume when I need a little lift. Though not all are stories of victory, they all tend to relate to some facet of my journey. I dream of the day when I will be able to submit my testimony of a restored marriage. Last week I actually submitted my first testimony even though victory seems nowhere in sight. Not only was it used, but it was actually one that Charlyne added commentary to. We may dream of how great our marriages will be once restored; but this blessed response from RMM has provided a glimpse of how marriage restoration can be immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20.”  (Alabama)

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

“My husband is home! Praise God! It really did happen suddenly. The 1first part of my stand was depressing with a victim mentality, wondering how God could do this to me. I finally opened my heart to hear from God and allowed Him to comfort me while He worked on my husbands’ heart. I let go and let God! Although our situation looked horrible, I felt such peace. I was able to love my husband with God’s heart and agape love. There was an OW involved, holidays spent alone, buckets of tears, financial problems, disappointments, but every morning I would ask God to give me the desires of His heart and I still loved my husband. I knew that I needed to continue to stand. One day when both my husband and myself were ready, He would restore us! I prepared for this moment because I believed it would happen. I purchased Bob’s books for my husband and he’s so grateful that I did. He’s not ashamed of the emotions he’s feeling because of them. Standers, trust in God and be prepared for your suddenly!”  (California)

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”  John 11:40

Praise God for these testimonies! As I was reading today’s testimonies God led me to pray for each testimony separately. Months ago God spoke to me and said for me to pray for others not to just focus on my circumstances. I’m honor to lift up these testimonies in prayer and to ask our Wonderful God to continue to strengthen, encourage and restore! Praise the Lord!
