The November ministry newsletter was published earlier this week. Take time to read it today for some encouragement.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.  Colossians 2:6-7
This Lord’s Day will you join me in counting our many blessings? In the United States, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday.The Lord wants us to be thankful. Do you remember the hymn Count Your Blessings?
Are you counting your blessings or are you complaining, grumbling and wishing that Thanksgiving was already over? There is so much heartache around the world, I pray that you will not be like the Israelites when the Lord provided them meat and manna for their food in the desert. They were still unhappy and ungrateful. We can start learning to be thankful.
How many people around the world would love to have all the variety of foods that we have? We need to be thankful of all that the Lord has given us.
You may have a loved one who is facing a serious illness and needs a divine healing from the Lord. Never stop praying for them. You may be praying this weekend for a spouse or young adult who needs deliverance from alcohol or drugs. Our Lord God is our Deliverer. Seek His face for all your needs.
This Thanksgiving I pray that you will be thankful for being alive and count your blessings for all that you have today. Count your blessings, name them one by one! I pray that you will read the powerful words to this song and it will minister hope to your hurting or weary heart. I pray that this simple hymn will remind you of all the ways you have been blessed by the Lord in the midst of your circumstances.
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy,
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

If you do not know this song, just speak the words out loud and ask the Holy Spirit to minister to your body, soul and spirit. At this time of year, be aware that the enemy wants to steal your thankfulness and joy.

The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:5b-7
Pray that your husband or wife will have their own Damascus Road experience this Lord’s Day and turn their heart to the Lord and back home. Please continue to join us in praying and fasting for the many prodigal spouses and children to have heart transformations before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays ever begin!
The Bible says we are to praise our Lord or the rocks will cry out.  Let’s start today, overflowing with thankfulness for all that the Lord has given each of us!
God bless,
